    Default need EPIC destiny advice

Just maxed out the Draconic ED on my Sorc. Is it worth it to start another path? I'm asking because in looking at what's available next (Magister and the Bard one) there don't really seem to be any worthwhile tier 1 or even tier 2 powers that I'd eventually use as a twist. I'm not a completionist and as much as I'd like to work through enough ED's to open Exalted Angel to increase my Spell Point pool...that's just not going to happen.

So it looks like other than an extra point of CHA or a couple extra points in Concentration, there isn't really a lot to pursue.

This is my 1st Sorc and only my 2nd character to reach ED's so by no means am I an expert..if I'm off base or missing an opportunity I want to know.

    Thanks in advance.

Yes. Not necessarily because of what they offer directly, but doing other Destinies will net you Fate Points, to unlock Twists of Fate, which are very nice.

Most sorc builds make either Draconic or Shiradi their primary ED; I think I've seen a few go for Exalted Angel, too. Unfortunately, ED farming is a boring grind; no other way of putting it. But if you don't do it, you're limiting your character's full potential. Even if you stick with Draconic as your primary ED, there are plenty of potentially useful Twists from other EDs; but you need to earn Fate pts to unlock Twists of Fate. You're also sorta "wasting" all the XP you earn while in a maxed-out ED: the Karma goes into Sphere pool for if & when you ER, but it doesn't level up your other EDs.

If you're a flesh based sorc, twisting in Rejuvenation Cocoon from Primal Avatar is not only amazing, it's pretty much a must have for me.

To open up Primal Avatar you'll have to grind Epic Destnies in a path across the map view, that's the very first thing I'd recommend doing.

Once you have enough fate points to do a tier 4 AND a tier 1 twist at the same time, you can twist Energy Burst & Cocoon into any ED you choose! Which makes grinding out EDs a lot faster and easier.

What destiny you end up in will be a matter of personal preference and what content you want to take on. You'll have plenty of time to try out all the Epic Destinies and abilities while you are monotonously grinding out ED XP to earn fate points and open up twists.

While not all EDs will seem useful from the initial viewing, it is in the ability to gain twists of fate that the power of the "Other" EDs.

Now, leveling some EDs will feel like going backwards in power, but after you have enough Fate Points to open up abilities that you have unlocked in other destinies you can supplement power hole.

You can also use SAGA XP to further supplement ED leveling.

Another aspect that you need to keep in mind is that there are Epic Level feats that are only accessible after you have maxed out EDs and in some case 2 EDs in a Sphere. Take the time to review the Epic Destiny Feats to see what could be available.
