    Default Swashbuckler|Single Weapon Fighting|Thrown Weapons

Wanted to see if anyone knew if the single weapon fighting feat applied to thrown weapons if you only have the thrown weapon in main hand and nothing in offhand? Or is it only a melee feat? Thanks

I'm pretty sure that a thrown weapon counts as ammo, not a weapon. As such, SWF does not apply.

Yes they are weapons, no it doesn't apply to thrown weapons already confirmed by devs not sure why though

Swashbuckling: Defensive Stance: You gain 1% Doublestrike and Doubleshot as well as +1 to the Enhancement Bonus of the weapon in your main hand. Swashbuckling requires wielding a Finesseable or Thrown weapon in your main hand, wielding a Buckler or nothing in your off hand, and wearing Light Armor or no armor. (Druids cannot Swashbuckle while in animal forms.)

If you are swashbuckling , thrown weapons count for SWF.
If you aren't swashbuckling thrown weapons don't count for SWF

Yeah hold on that I have to test. I swear I did it the other night but I did dal asleep in my chair.

Swashbuckling does affect thrown weapons yes

SWF does not, even if you are swashbuckling

I assumed it did but was corrected and have tested, it does not...not sure why not though.

SWF does not apply to thrown weapons. Swashbuckling does. The key point where this matters is:

    Different Tack: Choose One:

Swift Strikes: You get Dexterity to Damage with weapon attacks while Single Weapon Fighting.
Two Steps Ahead: You get Intelligence to Damage with weapon attacks Single Weapon Fighting.
Smooth Flourishes: You get Charisma to Damage with weapon attacks Single Weapon Fighting

This means the only way to get dex to damage for throwers is to go halfling (or monk but we're talking bard so...). Unless the assassin dex to damage for daggers applies to throwing daggers, which I haven't tested. Shurikens are where it's at anyway; throwing daggers would still be behind because of the Shuriken Expertise feat.

    This I can confirm works.

Well this is no good, I was already disappointed that single weapon fighting doesn't work with thrown weapons, but the damage mods should really work without SWF. Is there any reason they can't let it be "While swashbuckling or single weapon fighting"? I'm not sure that would help anybody but throwers.

Everybody kind of called for it on lama but it wasn't received.

Yeah terribly disappointing. On the plus side, it make Halflings that much more powerful as a race. Thanks to their enhancements that add DEX to thrown damage and +1 critical threat range with thrown weapons.

The threat is a competence bonus and does not stack with Swashbuckling.
