Default Devs - Question about amenities in chests

So when amenities start dropping from chests, how will it work for amenities that have an upgrade path? For example, my understanding is that if you want the 5% xp shrine, you first have to place the 1%, then 2%, etc. all the way up. When they drop from the chests, will it be the same? So if I had a 5% xp shrine amenity drop in a chest, it would be useless unless I got all the other ones too?

A related comment/question would be that I'm still not clear on why you chose to force upgrades for those, especially given that you chose to go the "buy it if you can afford it" route with the airships. I mean, they already have a guild level restriction.

I have been wondering the same thing.

Any amenity for astral shards that has an upgrade cost(s). Does the dropped amenity just by pass the initial cost to place and you still have to pay upgrade astral shard costs anyway? or does it place fully upgraded? or do you need a contract for each upgrade?

If its the first that is kinda wrong..."oh it drops in chests...but you still have to pay the biggest cost to upgrade..."

The second option would obviously favor players since its loot it, place, and your done.

The third option is ok, a little annoying to find each and every upgrade contract.

Additionally when they drop do they automatically go to the guild inventory? or the person that loots it can decide to donate to their guild or sell it?

I am not sure if anyone has pondered all these questions.
