I've never played a druid before. However, I really want to play one now. Could someone give some build advice for my playstyle?
I nearly always play with a friend and one of us is the trapmonkey, while the other is the healer. So this build will need to be primarily geared towards healing. But as trapmonkeys tend to be a bit on the squishy side and attract aggro, it would be very helpful if this build was also something of a tank. (Even better if it could pull aggro away via intimidation or something.)
I suppose I could go for a pure spellcaster build. However, if it wouldn't sacrifice too much DPS or area effect potential, I'd prefer a build that can still dish out a bit of melee damage, too. If I went with a pure spellcaster druid and I was the party's primary healing font, wouldn't I run out of spell points at a bad time?
I have 32-point build and access to all races except half-orc and half-elf. Though, I do not want to make this iconic. (And I'd prefer to lesser reincarnate either a human, elf, or drow.) I plan to get some +2 or +3 tomes eventually. But, starting out, it would not have much, if any.
PS: Are there any guides available to playing a druid? Any advice, thoughts, recommendations, or insight on playing a Druid (heroic) would be appreciated.
Edit:
On reading more druid builds, I might consider taking 1 or 2 levels of either Monk or Wizard: Eldritch Knight if that would make it more playable for my style. But, again, it primarily has to be a healer.
