Yeah. I totally don't have any moral objections to people getting stuff for themselves out of this.

If they use the exploit to trade stuff for Otto's Boxes or sell them for shards or plat, well then they are exploiting other people, and I really don't like that. There's a big difference between exploiting the game and exploiting others, in my book.

not sure about exploiting other people.. i mean if they trade the box for it, it means they want the scale. the scale still remain the same function do they not? in another way, isn't trading these box for scale an exploit to people who earn them on their own? i mean it is sorta like cash shop selling equipment is it not? ddo is not about pvp, or player compete one another, it is about team work. who don't want stronger allies? who enjoy solo the game 24/7? at least i don't, which is why i don't usually make solo hybird build..(admit i did made one =P for times i couldn't find any group)

true, but that doesn't means they are not going to play the game. if they don't need it they might pass it to someone who do need them. isn't that a good thing? or in your mind anyone who trade otto for stuff never play the game.. or people who purchase stuff from shard auction house never need to play the game?

dragon scale armor is not end game armor, not without upgrarde. this current issue will only grant them base dragonscale armor, which is decent for epic gameplay. but not enough to make it end game, they still have to farm commendation of heorism and perhaps pdk favor to upgrade the armor.

Its human nature to always try to find an advantage. I don't know much about exploits and try to stay clear of them. My account us too important to me. However Turbine intentionally doesn't list nor inform people of specific "things that will get you banned". I personally believe that if you can do something with in the parameters of the game, then its not an exploit. What if you stumble onto/into something and do it for years and then someone comes along and says you are breaking the rules and should be banned? Are they right? Is "Perching" against the rules" Turbine certainly lets you do it. They even design quests where "Perching" seems like a part of the plan. Does "kiting" a demigod through a blade barrier or wall of fire an exploit? After all. Would a demigod really be stupid enough to do that over and over? C'MON MAN! is "chest farming" an exploit? Who gives you the right to go for the easy chest and NOT finish the quest? Is that what the Devs intended? Someone told me the other day that I was exploiting because I kept my Royal Guard Mask in the shared bank and swapped it on toons so that I can always use it on the toon I am on. They said that was not the intention of the shared bank. C'Mon Man!

Who really cares? Play your game and let others play theirs! If you don't like how they play theirs then don't quest with them. If you really think they are breaking some great rule then report them and move on. If Turbine doesn't worry about it or "change" it then just pull your panties up, dry off your tears, zip up your whining, tell your mom you are ok............ and just move on.

So what IS end-game armor? Upgraded dragonscale armor is almost the same as base. adding an enhancement level and armor level? that's what makes it endgame?

Except that I saw someone link 500+ comms of heroism -- obviously duped. And upgraded armor is negligibly different from the base item. So I really don't know what you're talking about.

It's definitely NOT only on Sarlona. It's on almost every server.

true up to a point, but if you bought 20 red scales for 400k each, or for 40k each you still will end up running von6 20 times to get the shard, likewise shroud ingredients, I bet there are a lot of people proudly looking at 20 newly acquired LDS realising they have zero shards to make anything.
