Mabar Tome question

I was wondering are the Mabar +5 tomes ability tomes or skill tomes?
Are the upgrade tomes (meaning you need to be +4 already) or not?
Is it my choice of which, or do I have to pick from a list (that does not include all abilities/skills)?

AFAIK mate they are Stat tomes not Skill and limited to one per character. There were +6 on offer as well during testing but according to Cordovan they have been removed to due a bug not applying them correctly.

I know the +6 tomes were proposed at a one per character ,however I think I heard it said on DDOcast that the limit didn't apply to +5s.
