    Default Bladeforged gear?

Just how long into a build on a Bladeforged should one start to use other gear than the starter set-up they come with?

The gear is really nice and the answer to your question really is no different from "when should I use different gear on my character"

The simple answer is when you get something better.

Now the gear will be difficult to switch out on a one on one basis because much of it has multiple purposes.

The easiest to switch out is the weapon. if taken enough paladin levels for 4th level spells the use of Holy Sword (which has an array of weapons which include Great Sword and Maul) could be used per play session to get a +5 Holy Burst Cold Iron/Silver weapon until you get something better.

A simple thing I do right away is replace the belt with a +6 Ogre Strentgh belt and a colorless slot, which you can put a +4 dex augment in now, and a +5 at level 16.

Yes, replace the sword as soon as possible.

Everything else is pretty good, and like the previous poster stated, hard to swap out on a 1 to 1 basis. The rings could be swapped out if you don't care about concentrate or intimidate.

goggles would be an easy swap for Lenses of Opportunity.
boots I'd take 30% striders over 1% dodge.

True. I actually bought some 25% striders with +7 jump, which I felt was more useful/handy than the 1% dodge on my pally/fighter. My ranger/monk/pally will probably keep the dodge boots for now.
