Can't remove deleted party member

My character's name is Hyperdermic. He is stuck in a party with a character which was deleted, named Unodostres. When I try to leave party or remove him, the error message is " You can't create, destroy, or modify a party while any members are teleporting."

We tried re-creating the deleted character. When he logged in, it didn't show him as reconnecting, and he was alone. I sent him an invite, and when he accepted it, it said he was already in the party. We both tried /party leave, but I get the same error about teleporting. I could send him private messages. We deleted him again, but nothing changed.

We both relogged onto different characters. Usually this removes your other character from the previous party automatically. Then I relogged Hyperdermic and the deleted character was still there.

The worst part is when he logs in another character, it says he's already in the party, but he isn't.

Not sure what to do. I'd be grateful for any help.

Just a few thoughts if you didn't try these already...

1. Invite more people to the party. Make other people leaders and have them kick that character, or even kick you.
2. Make the party a RAID, then try to kick / leave.

So that's what causes that bug. I've seen it before and didn't know what caused it. I had to create a f2p account and give it the star to get my character out of the party. Tried doing it the "right" way and contacting a gm, but the gm was unable to help as it wasn't a known issue surprise surprise. After a server downtime I did double check the alt account and server downtime does fix it. So alt account or pray for a server crash soon.

Ask your friend to create new "temporary" character. Join him to party, give him the star, and leave party. Then let him to delete his temporary character.

It may solve problem. Or it may cause crash of the server

Create a new Character named Unodostres . Log in with this character and leave party . Then delete you previously made character Unodostres.

Trying to make the party a Raid gave the same error message about Teleporting.

However, I asked someone else to join my party. As a test, I tried to leave, and I could! BUT, they were now trapped with this phantom character! I re-joined and we were able to pass the star, and after testing, we determined that it didn't matter who had it. As long as someone else was present, I could leave.

So I thanked him and let the other leave, not wanting to pass off my predicament to another, especially as he was being nice.

So I created an LFM. No quest selected, level range 1-25. In the description, all I typed was:

"Please do not join my party."

Could you ask someone to roll up a new character, do the same thing, and delete the character when they're done?

Heh, this happened to me once but the other guy still had the star after DC'ing (not deleting character though) I just logged on the next day and wasn't in the party, but I never found a way to fix it.

I think they meant that YOU should log on to another character, so that your character is dropped from the group with the deleted char.

Did you try drinking a Remove Curse pot, then chosing "leave party"?
