Is it just me suddenly having massive mob lag?

Any time I'm in a situation where there are a dozen or so enemies around me everything goes to pot. No way to break free of being encircled, no hits register (on my side. mobs hit just fine)
and eventually I end up ON TOP of this swarming mass just waiting to die.

yes i have noticed it a lot. nothing you can do works. no spells register. no hits no jumping. just floating or hoping something goes right for once.

It happens on public areas to me too, i guess we just tend to remember the critical ones

Not quite. The festivals just bring the load up high enough to amplify the physics issues significantly.

Problem is, Festivalt isn't turned on yet...

Since I solo a lot I fight a LOT of mobs. Standing on top of mobs has been happening a long time. When you are floating on them, hitting them is a pain, but you have to use your target key and focus on one and take it down, so you can then get a spot to land and jump out.

The new one for me, is the mobs rubberband, go through you and then behind you, go through a wall and get behind you, or come at you, then completely disappear because they went somewhere, then all of a sudden appear behind you or they appear way back where they started. I assume the mob went into a wall and found the graphics secret door to get out. The one I NEVER find when my screen goes completely black.

It is very annoying how the game used to work mostly as you expected, now it completely works like a cartoon. The monsters, no graphics objects seem to effect them, the graphics objects only affect a player character. In the old days, I aggro'd a small mob. I went to a door frame to control the battle. Fought and healed.

Now, I go to a door frame to fight and heal, and the monsters get to ignore the door frame, the walls, the floors, I am used to it now, but it does not make the game enjoyable knowing that it is all seems to be borked.

I rarely have lag unless it is something on my end, but the last couple of days I've been experiencing some lag like you describe and so have some of the guildies I run with.
