    Default Move the airship!

The gap between the new airship at level 50 (I think it's 50) and the next new airship at level 80 is far too large, particularly since the next new ship after level 80 is at level 85.

I propose moving the level 80 ship to level 65. Either that or introducing a new ship design that can be bought at level 65. We need something in between.

    Discuss.

Good idea, maybe move the top tier ships down to 70/75 and add new ones for 90/95.

First ship is at Lvl 20!
    Second at Lvl 50
    Third at lvl 80

So if the gap between 2nd and 3rd is "Far too large" then so is the gap between 1st and 2nd!

Frankly I'd love the 2nd Airship to become available earlier personally {as the leader of a Lvl 45 - Just - Guild}.

But I'd much prefer the devs to spend time on the set up of the high level ship's Buff placements than this.
Especially on the Plat Bought Ships - What Feng-Shui master came up with these?

Actually there is a L55 ship that is ALMOST the same (in terms of hookpoints) as the L80 ship so its not like the L80 ship gives you anything of value anyway. Your L55 ship is a good ship, don't get fussed over the next upgrade. However, if they dropped it to L65 or 70 I wouldn't cry over the 1 extra small hook you get.

The next big upgrade is L85, and that one should stay where it is as there is almost nothing of benefit to be had in the current reward system above L80 so we shouldn't take that away.

There should be a level 100..

A Giant Cigar speed boat that has a Huge Hookpoint on the top deck that slots the "all buffs super Shrine" (a rest shrine that finishes with everything restored all the buffs).

    Upper Deck also has
a big open area with a 12 person hot tub.

Hookpoints to allow Room for barkeep, mailbox, AH, Banker and all teleporters/planescallers

Below deck has all the crafting alters in a wide open spacious area (no pita doors)

Well, mathmatically, yes. However the actual time to get from one ship to another differs. I think you'll agree that a guild can get from 20 to 50 quicker than from 50 to 80.

So actual time-wise, the gap IS far too large, methinks.

The 55 ship is significantly better than the 80 ship, keep that in mind. (85 is better).

The 80 ship has a downright horrible layout.
    I don't have a zerging problem.

Horrible layout or not, it can hold more buff shrines than the level 50 version, so it's still better than a level 55 ship.

Agreed. The gap from 55 to 80 is just too long.

Another alternative that I thought of could be to add just one of each type of hook point (small, large and NPC) to the level 55 ship, somewhere around level 70. There's nothing earth shattering about that and it would give everyone something to look forward to.

The only problem might be that it comes to close to what a level 80 ship provides for hook points. I'm not in game right now so I can't look to see how many are on each.

ONE extra small hook point is not worth the MC Escher nightmare that is that ship.

Getting from 1-20 took me and 2 guildies maybe a month.
Getting from 20-45 has taken the rest of my time in DDO so far - Over two years!
Getting to 50? No idea how long that's going to take.

As a family guild leader I am all for lowering ship level req's. Shrines too. I'd be happy as a pig in $#!+ if i could set up with the ship and shrines avalible at 62. It sure doesn't look like they will be coming to me any time soon. Since my guild is only 43 and that's taken a year and a half.
