Default What's a good undead beater for a level 16 pally?

I'm Mabaring a bit and currently using a Fury of the Flame, which is working pretty well. I also have a GS maul, but it's only level 2.

Anything else I should consider that's reasonably easy to get?

Any weapon with disruption on it should work better than most anything else. An undead guard item will help too.

    Electric of Disruption are nice

For undead guard, you might want to check out the Challenge Armor.
But it could end up as more grind then Mabar ^^

Or you could make a GreenSteel weapon: Holy, Goos Blast, Good Burst and Greater Disruption.

Shroud Loot Planner: Hammer of Undead Doom
Argonessen: Breyard, Kayuss, Breymer, Vilar, Zhanmadao

A triple positive GS maul with holy, good burst, good blast is probably the best undead beater at any level.
That which does not kill you gives you experience points.

That. But, consider 30% amp in place of the good blast.

Good blast is 1.5 damage/swing on a x3/20 weapon (maul w/out IC:B). 30% amp probably is a better choice, particularly given how few 30% amp items there are, and NONE when TRing.

Thanks for the suggestions. Can't make a GS as I don't have shards and am not flagged yet on this life.

A basic +5 something of Smiting will go a long way.

A fury of the flame deals on average:
    1d10 x3/19-20 = ~6.6
    +4 enhance
    +4.6 flaming burst
    +3.5 light
    +5.5 weapon
    +7 vs skeletals
A total of 20.2 damage on average against non-skeletal undead (not including PA, strength etc bonuses) and 27.2 against skeletals

A +5 Maul Of Smiting will deal an average:
    1d10 x3/20 = 6.05
    +5 enhance
    +19 smiting (4*3.5+100/20 = 19)
A total of 30.05 average against ALL undead

Vampires take double damage from light AFAIK and maybe extra from fire (not sure), which may lead to Fury Of The Flame being better against those, any undead with DR/Adamantite will also give you an advantage to Fury, but those don't exist AFAIK.

So yeah, get a smiter. Smiters are awesome.

    Edit-
Probably gave too much damage to Fury Of The Flame, since the Impact means nothing against undead beyond the Flaming Burst bonus.

    Default Cannithly Crafted....

a pair of +2 Holy of Undead Bane Handwraps ml9 just for mabar fun on my 10 (2Monk/8Pal) with <50 in each school.

I have ghost touch as HotD so I skipped the +x Ghost Touch of Greater Incorporeal Bane I could have made (with a swap to a higher crafting level toon)

Unless you can find something similar on AH just craft yourself up something temporary until you can choose a better option listed in above posts.

Since when did smiters do damage against undead? I thought they only do the vorpal damage versus constructs.

I think a lot of people are missing the fact that the OP is looking for something easy to acquire so he can use it for Mabar farming. Telling him to farm up a GS whatever is impractical given time constraints.

If you're S&B, what about Templar's Justice / Retribution? Find an arty willing to buff you with Silver weapons for vamp-beating purposes. It's not ideal, but shouldn't take long to farm it from Spinner.

Otherwise, shop the AH for Holy Burst of Disruption or whatever you can find.

Thanks for the replies. I'm assuming Mastikator meant disruption and not smiting.

I didn't realize how much more damage that would do than what I am currently using.

    I'll scan the AH.

Holy of Disrupt are things I commonly search for on the AH, just to have.

    Well, I found a +3 greatsword of disruption, but that's it. (I fight 2H.)

I guess the time to look for an ideal weapon was last week.

If you have access to cannith challenges or saved free tokens, mournlode weapons may be a good route to go as well.
