While I don't doubt that lots of lag reports are due to something on the user's end, there is definitely whole-instance server side lag going on right now.

It's not every instance, but when it hits it's not pretty.

Last year we avoided summons and too many persistent AoE spells like firewall and dance ball. That helped out a fair amount.

Additionally, when you hit all 4 altars you cut the number of players in that instance. So once you get 24-36 it may be a good idea to close an instance.

Don't forget that the Easy Coast of the US is recovering from a major Hurricane. I'm sure this is affecting the internet some. Also, don't forget there are people that have no power, not to mention people that have lost a lot more important things. There are people struggling to survive and just stay warm right now.


I would give it a few days before you get to extreme!

oh ok. didnt read that anywhere in the forums. sry then, i take it all back. seems DDO is a game for ppl who use gaming computers, and i have no work here, with my useless PC. i guess by gaming PC u mean UBER nasa PC, because 99/100 seems to have lag problems. next time i run that dragon, ill make sure ill get some screenshots of the General chat, about lag complains

I understand and sympathise with people who suffered because of this or any other natural disaster. However saying that someone should not express his opinion because something that has nothing to do with him happened somewhere. Wow, just wow.

And to all that are commenting about modems and people ineptitude of assembling a gaming computer: just be careful when you use naked flame, geez.

My lag (on a non gaming computer) is no better or worse than normal. If we get to vote to close parts of the game we do not like then nothing will be left open. Please throw your temper tantrum elsewhere.

I expect the posters point was that since Turbine's servers are in New England that the hurricane's destruction may be effecting things a bit. I did not read it as 'Don't gripe SANDY'S VICTIMS!!!!!!!'. Of course that was just my reading.
