    Default Monk Free LR rebuild (and Tome question)

    Heya.

    I'm thinking about using the free LR to play with some options on my monk, and was wondering if it's possible to eat +1 and +2 tomes during the LR process - I've already eaten a supreme +3 from a sale, and as far as I can tell I can't eat a smaller tome before TR/LR'ing. If I've somehow mixed that up, and I can at level 21 eat a +1 int tome even after eating a +3, please let me know.

    Also, I was playing around with the character builder, and came up with what follows. Any thoughts, comments? I've tended to find that I rarely if ever use things like lifting the veil or restoring the balance - I only occasionally need rise of the phoenix to rez someone, the others tend to sit unused, and since I have plenty of pots, I often skip them entirely to save ki for melee. I've tried to build an enhancement tree that gets moutain/wind 4, void 4 and shintao 3 without them to use the 10 AP elsewhere - good idea or bad idea? I can build a rez clicky fairly easily, and am wondering if I can get umd up to a level that I can use raise scrolls at least. I put build points into wis to up DC's/AC - should I go more for strength? Oh, and I'd likely take IMA and Vorpal as epic feats.

    *edit - the enhancements are what I would get at level 20 - level taken in the planner doesnt matter so much, was just to see what I could open up when in the tree*

    Let me know any thoughts at all - my first time using the character planner, and I'm still pretty new to the game.

    Eating a +3 supreme tome means that you cannot ever eat the +2 or +1. You don't need to, because they dont stack.

    Whilst LR-ing you will get +1 to all stats at L3, another +1 at L7 and the final +1 and L11... for a total of +3.
    Just means a bit of work getting the character planner tome section right!

    Oh, ok, thanks MnaSidhe.
    I didn't realize that the +1, +2 then +3 would kick in when possible from the +3 - I guess I just assumed to get the benefits of a +1 at earliest level possible, one had to eat a +1.

    I dont really have enough experience with monks to comment, our TR(snail)-train is just experimenting with its first monk... and that is a strength based dark monk... If you find yourself saving KI for the fights and not using some of the light monk stuff... why not go dark? Touch of Death is nice... KI regenerating whilst sneaking is nice.

    Seeing as you need a UMD of 34 to no-fail a raise dead scroll... I am not sure that it is worth the effort of trying! You can cross class the skill up to 11... then you have to work harder for the other 23 points!

    Be warned, unless they fixed it, the free LR removes tomes. You have to contact Customer Support and have the tomes reapplied manually by Turbine. It's a PITA.

    They fixed it (or it is an intermittant, random bug). At least when I Lfree-LRd my PM the Int +2 tome was still there, and kicked in at the correct point!
