Is Improved precise shot still worth it

I have just reincaranted my ranger/rogue/fighter to rebuild him slightly and take advantage of the changes in the new update (14)

However after selecting improved precise shot I found out I can't use it with the new Archers Focus stance as only one can be used at the same.

Since I get the Precise shot for free as a Ranger which grants me the Archers Focus stance and I can only use one at a time I'm wondering is there not a better feat to choose than Improved precise shot. Or is archers focus not very good and I should just stick with Improved precise shot for higher dps.

I know I can have both of them and pick whichever one I need for different situations but this doesnt apeealt o me as I have so many clickies and abilities to activate already.

Thoughts anyone, should I still take Improved precise shot as one of my feats?

I've been underwhelmed by Archer's Focus, as have others. The requirement to stand still seems to really hamper its usefulness, as most of us archers are constantly maneuvering in battle: to maintain line of sight, to stay within PBS / sneak atk range, to avoid an AOE, whatever. The main advantage to AF is you get it free with Prec Shot, so it gives you something to use until you get IPS.

It appears to be for killing bosses when you have multishot on timer. IPS should be used for handling trash.

On my Bardcher I skipped IPS, but that's because of feat limitations and the fact I can't shed the amount of aggro I sometimes grab with IPS.

Precision is a worth while feat I would take rather then IPS, extra 5% to hit and bypass 25% fort coupled with Archer's Focus and the Stand and Deliver Shiradi enhancement makes for some nice boss damage.

get IPS if you can at all. it is going to be the one you use the vast majority of the time.

archer's focus is what you will use on rare occasions when you are able to range an enemy without moving at all... ie a few select boss fights, and pretty much never apart from that. it's a nice boost in those situations, but it is not by any means a replacement for what IPS gives.
