~I'm Back!~
After updating, Lam is showing as offline....
Editted: 5 mins later, it's up. My bad.
Editted later to include: Woops, I'm back to the "red border on update screen" after update. Which means, crashy crashy, before I hit character selection screen.
Seems to happen every second patch.
Anyone have any ideas?

Just taking a wild guess:
* The spell deathward has been reduced in duration to 3 seconds per caster level, and instead of providing immunity to death effects, provides a +6 bonus to saves.
* Healing amplification has been changed into a spell power bonus. For example, 30% heal amp provides +30 spell power to incoming cures, and +15 spellpower to incoming heal and mass heal.
* The casting time for mass heal has been doubled, and the spell can no longer be quickened.
* Divine punishment now requires a spell penetration check every damage tick. A single tick resisted clears the stack.
* Holy aura has been changed yet again, and now does absolutely nothing whatsoever when cast. However, its spell point cost has been reduced by 10sp, so this is actually a buff.

Wow indeed!
That was a fast patch.

If this is your plan to annoy us in the future... it's working even better than chugging potions every 21 seconds or having every defence striped from our toons!
Alright, boys and girls, here's your freebie.
The red screen around the load screen means AVAST anti-virus has thought DDO is an EVIL PROGRAM (which it is, it's not programmed very well) and insists on running in 'sandbox mode'.
If you turn off sandbox mode, or turn it to 'ask' before auto-doing it, you will be able to get into the game.
I am so glad someone from turbine commented on this and gave me help both this time, and the other time I mentioned it in the past in the beta forums.
(that last past was sarcasm)
note: this worked for me. I'm not doing any more research on this problem, as it is not my problem, it is turbines. If it does not work for you, sorry; but it's probably related.
Patch 2, can we get amother loot, plat, and level up event??

Release notes! Plox!
Actually - I don't think so.
You are welcome to your opinion though.
I have asked about this problem before - and got nary an answer.
It is fine if DDO is not programmed well enough to work with popular virus checkers. I understand the programmers pain, after all the bugs.
Avast ain't bugged. DDO is. Shall we talk about the memory loss from switching characters, after how many years?
mmHMMmMM, and DDO doesn't work properly with it.
That is not the problem, and you're just being like this because you don't like me.
I didn't ask that.
I did however, mention that I have asked about this problem before; a simple response at some point would have been nice.
Also, an in-game working BUG REPORT system is nice too. Is that fixed yet?
Please, do us all a favor. If you don't like me, just keep it to yourself.
Don't forget though. Math never solved anything. (yes - I'm probably getting my forum people mixed up - but some are just too priceless, and must be repeated, regardless of who)
Don't flatter yourself... I didn't even notice who made the silly comment about how the programmers at DDO are at fault for all the other software on your PC.
I responded because it was a silly comment, worthy of ridicule.
You're so vain, you probably think this thread is about you... don't you? Don't you?
Could be possible, absolutely - a response from Turbine could have helped - a few simple google searches do point to exactly what the problem is - after DDO caused a blue screen and gave me some details, finally.
Every 2nd update, this happens. In between, it is fine. I asked, to see if this could possibly HELP them with other bugs.
No answers from devs. Fine. I get it. From their actions on Lam and on the forums, most of them don't give a care about it. Just Forum Posters who think they know everything.
Gotcha.
Turbine has failed in this update solely because they listen to forum posters too much, it seems.
It is not just me who sees this - by making the game hard for OMG SHADE or OMG THRUDHHEHEHRHEHR - you have annoyed the rest of us. A lot of people I've been talking to are wondering why DDO wants to drive all their business away to make the game harder (and more annoying) for 1% of the 1% of players.
But this is the path turbine chose. I will put up with it as long as I am able.
Which I showed people how to correct, but was piled on for doing so by those who still insist on blaming DDO and will not listen to anything that explains it may not be a DDO issue. Because it must be DDOs fault. Because we must vehemently blame DDO on their forums, then log in and play more DDO after doing so.
Last PC reboot, 14 weeks ago.
In the pro world, we keep our hardware on 24/7 unless theres a real reason to turn it off.
In video editing, we recommend having a dedicated machine and NOT using anti virus applications because they like to eat scripts that point from events to media files on a regular basis.
