Default Blood of the dragon - what difficulty to farm it ?

I know there are in the quests:

    mired of kobold
    GTOR
    prey of the hunter

i made them several times at normal difficulty but i didn't find 1 single Blood of dragon !

so i guess if i wrong something.. should i make it at hard or elite difficulty to have more chance to find a Blood of dragon potion ?

harder diff may or may not help the droprate. But according to the wiki you'll get an average of 1 potion every 20 chests at best. You could farm GH Tor for them and get some dragonscales as a bonus while you're doing it.

You get dragonblood as a choice for 50 (or 75?) Argonessen Favor. Thats the safest way to get one.

On Thelanis: Makkuroi - Heroic+Epic completionist, 30+ Past lives - Guild: Zeugen der Dreizehn

You might want to just buy a few. They're only 150 TP. Save yourself the hours and hours of grinding.

I have never understood why Blood of Dragons is useful?
No Sorc/FvS ever showed interest in these when put them for roll.
It just eats additional inventory space and is very hard to restock again.

if you have one or two, you likely don't care about getting more. the number of times you need to completely respec your entire spell list is pretty low.

but then, iirc it's also a crafting ingredient. although imo you'd have to be crazy to burn 3 of them (or however many it is... thought it was 3) for a greater dragon bane...

For a while I was taking them for the 75 argonessan favor reward until I got up to 8 of them. I really only used 1 per sorcerer life I was doing to switch from early level fire spells to something better for later levels. Still have 4 or 5 more, guess they can just take up bank space until I decide to do 2 more FvS lives. I haven't ever seen one drop by the way, so the store or argonessan favor seems like the easiest way to get them.

Mired on elite killing the mother dragon got me two of them in one run. Might have been a freak chance. I have seen them from GTOR too where I got my first drop.

You get two of them as a reward option for the first tier of Argonesson favor.

It is probably the single best one to pick if you already have your 5th bag slot and are happy with your feat choices. Assuming you have the crafting levels to make use of them, of course.
