    Default build two weapon dps

    Hi,

I want to play with twf but I don't know what is the best for a new player.

I have no extra races and favored soul/artificer class, no more, and have not true reencarnation.

I search and see some builds and don't understand the different to (take 1-10-xxx - 11-20-xxx) with take (1-xxx 2-xxx...) whe level up.

Can someone help me and says me some twf build for newbies with baseic game.

    tank you

Fighters make very good two-handed fighting builds. Two decent builds can be found here:

    http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=231816
    (Human)

    and here:

    http://compendium.ddo.com/wiki/Fighter_101
    (Dwarf Fighter)

I would however go True Neutral for my alignment to avoid unholy damage from monsters later in game, and choose the 'Improved Sunder' Feat rather than one of the additional Toughness Feats.

Here is a slightly altered version of the Human build, which I prefer to the Dwarf one due to the extra damage from Human versatility enhancements:

Two Weapon Fighting Kensai Khopesh Melee
    20 Fighter
    True Neutral

    STATS:

16 STR (Plus 1 point every 4 levels)
    16 DEX
    15 CON
    8 INT, WIS, CHR

    FEATS:

Level 1 (feat) Two Weapon Fighting (fighter) Oversized Two Weapon Fighting (human) Stunning Blow
Level 2 (fighter) Weapon Focus: Slashing
    Level 3 (feat) Toughness
Level 4 (fighter) Weapon Specialization: Slashing
    Level 5
Level 6 (feat) Power Attack (fighter) Exotic Weapon: Khopesh
    Level 7 <<eat a +1 DEX Tome>>
Level 8 (fighter) Improved Two Weapon Fighting
Level 9 (feat) Improved Critical: Slashing
Level 10 (fighter) Greater Weapon Focus: Slashing
    Level 11
Level 12 (feat) Toughness(fighter) Greater Weapon Specialization: Slashing
    Level 13
Level 14 (fighter) Greater Two Weapon Fighting
    Level 15 (feat) Improved Sunder
Level 16 (fighter) Superior Weapon Focus: Slashing
    Level 17
Level 18 (feat) Toughness (fighter) Quick Draw
    Level 19
    Level 20 (fighter) Cleave

    SKILLS:

Put all your points into Jump and Balance.

    QUESTION & ANSWERS:

    Q. Why did you go 16 STR? Why not the max 18 STR?
    A. The difference between 16 STR and 18 STR is +1 to hit, and +1 to damage, I would rather have the extra CON on a new player.

    Q. I noticed you chose Quick Draw feats is that really necessary??
    A. Fighters have PLENTY of feats... quick draw reduced the time between clicking your action boost and swinging.

    Q. Why 16 DEX?
    A. You need 17 DEX for Improved Two Weapon fighting, that requires only a +1 DEX tome. If you don't have access to a +1 DEX tome, use your ability increase at level 4 to increase your DEX to 17 (thanks to Sandrider30 for this tip)
