Default 12 months "special offer" a joke in the UK

Well I saw the 12 month $99.99 special offer in my inbox today so I thought "Great, I will get this"

Changed my mind fairly rapidly when I noticed someone at Turbine doesn't know how to figure out exchange rates so it's £80 here...a grand total saving over two 6 month VIP purchases of £3.89, I'm not putting that much money down up front to save the price of two pints of cheap lager.

I know it's been said before but: please stop screwing the UK on price. Don't try to argue on VAT either, as different states in the UK have different sales tax brackets but the price for them is the same all over. This is a screw job, it's about 30% more expensive in the UK, even if VAT was the issue that's still 10% more than VAT is.

Just wait till you get old and replacement hips are only made in the US and cost 45% more, then you will (Note: I am being pretentious here, I know for a fact replacement hips are made in the UK).

You also need to be carefull of how your bank handles things...Both myself and the wife are VIP. She's on the 12 month plan I'm on the 6 month one. These plans were arranged while prices were only available in $$$$. Due to how Halifx (her) and Natwest (me) deal with conversion - she is paying more (slightly - about 20p a month) than I am

You have still better prices ;p A lot better,

For e.g. me valute exchange is totally unfair.

    How to explain it?
    Hm...

Lets say average American person earn 2k$ per month.
At me person earns average 2k our valute per month.
Lets say 1 bottle of water costs in America 2$. At us its 2 our valute.

Now 1$ = 4 our valute. (well it depends on day. from 3,4 to 4,1 our valute ).

So as you count it we have to pay 4x what other people pay only because of bad valute exchange.
Sooo great for us ... ;p

We earn in the same :numbers: but while u have to pay 99,99$, we have to pay 399,96 our valute.
THIS is something to complain about.

I have literally no idea what you just said, however if it costs even more in your country, then I agree, they should fix it for you as well.

Your complaints about UK pricing would probably gain better traction in the DDO Store Feedback forum section. I'm pretty sure that the DDO Store folks, as well as some marketing-types, monitor that section pretty closely.

    Good luck!

It's more expensive because it's farther through the Internet Tubes.

I might be missing something but I'm in the UK and usually pay by credit card - I never noticed paying more than what is advertised in the dollar amount. For $100 should be about £63.05 ?

I also made a payment using paypal for the expansion and it was exactly £50.49 ($80) so are where is the extra charge coming from?

Yes. You shouldn't use tube technology. You should switch to the much better Interweb Beam. This exploits neutrininous tramission fallacious theory to ensure your Internetz reaches you by avoiding pesky things like the Laws of Physics (we at Interweb Beam Ltd believe these are more like guidelines anyway), tax domains (we at Interweb Beam Ltd believe that property is theft, therefore tax is the moral equivalent of hobbling a blind man) and good metaphors.

Buy the Interweb Beam now! Only $39.99 (the equivalent to only £48.33 after applying our revolutionary Abritrary Markup algorithm)! Guaranteed to save you money compared to giving it all to a homeless person! Buy Now!

And also - yeah it's dumb and unfair. But you should probably put it in the DDO store section.
