Default Price Check on Caster Item

Last week I got as random loot an item that seemed pretty sweet, a ML8 Necromancy & Enchantment dagger with a Large Guild Slot. I put it for sale at the AH for what I thought was a reasonable price (25k starting bid, 100k buyout), but got no bids whatsoever. Was it just an unreasonable price, or did I just get unlucky with bids?

Yeah it used to be an ok item, but anyone that does cannath crafting can make a greater spell focus item that has a pretty low ML.

The value in this item, in my opinion, is the large guild slot. Unfortunately, there's no way to search the AH for guild slots on items.

and so you would probably be better off taking all abilities off of the item and selling it as a craftable +5 large guild slot item.

Greater focus is ML9 w/masterful craftsmanship. Plain focus is ML3 and comes on a lot of nice named items like the Cove trinket anyway.

Guild slots on caster weapons (daggers, scepters, etc) aren't as useful, since you can't put HP / SP or skill augments in them, and caster's don't really need +4 to hit or 1d4 electric damage.

Still, the dagger could be useful to a lowbie as an off-hand weapon. That +4 to hit makes a huge difference for a TWF rogue or bard at low levels.

As was stated, you're more likely to sell it if you strip the enchantments off it first. I know when I need to look for a slotted item quickly, I just type "1-1" in the search by level box and see what comes up, rather than mouseover every item in the list.
