    Default Funky Soul, a build needing critiques

    A friend of mine has a FvS/Monk, and swears by it. I wanted to make a slightly different version....
    First build is what the toon is right now. Second is the 20th lvl version (if I get him that high).

    Cons to this build:
    *Poor healing at low lvls.
    *No lvl 9 spells (I miss them already).
    *No capstone DR.
    *Low DC's for spells (compensates by mostly using buffs).

    Pros to this build
    *Highly survivable (20% healing amp at lvl 5, and it's only going higher).
    *Stunning Fist no longer runs off of Monk level, so his stun will be as strong as a Monk's
    *Evasion... enough said.
    *Pally Dil feat. Gives him amazing saves and allows use of wands untill healing spells are up to par.

    Also, I may LR him into an 18/2 at 20th to get 9th lvl spells, but it'll all depend on how the build works.

    Please comment and share your opinion. My spell order is pretty rough, and I have no idea how to gear him, so any help in these areas is great.

    Looks like you are going to want that LR at 20 real bad, FvS without mass heal is what we call a solo build and should be played as such (meaning don't join raids as a healer).

    Don't forget that you can buy raise dead scrolls much earlier than you would get the spell, BUY THEM

    Other than that, looks like a lot of fun leveling up as long as you make clear to everyone that you are not the main healer. Keep you HP as high as you can and you shouldn't need partymembers anyway

    What's with all that Charisma?
    Sucky melee, no spell DC, not even Mass Heal to be a proper healbot.

    Strength or Wisdom primary for FvS.

    An 18/2 favored soul/monk is one of the best solo builds in the game, and still a great party contributor. A 17/3 is just broken.

    It's a novelty build, sure, but monk 3 / FvS 17 trades lvl 9 spells for the light-monk buffs, esp. Align the Heavens. Doesn't make sense if there's a real light monk around, of course, but if you're soloing or whatever, it's not so bad.

    That said, the OP's build is, well, not great: CHA way too high, DEX too low for ITWF & GTWF, Finesse-based is a bad idea, WIS is either too low for good DCs or too high for a heal-focused build, Mental Toughness & IMT are wasted feats on a build which has high SPs and can self-buff with Align the Heavens, while Quicken is pretty much a must-have on any caster build which wants to be able to cast spells in the middle of melee.

    Holy **** I did not even look at the starting stats before I replied..yep that's a build that ehm, needs quite some work.

    OP: if you want to do yourself a favor then make either a 2 monk 18 FvS with STR and all the usual or just roll one of the many Clonks that are lying around on the forums, I promise you that you will like both. In fact, have a look at clonks anyway and see how they spread their stats, its not that different from FvS's
