    Default WF Blade Caster

NOTE- This is BASED on the WF Blade Caster on DDO Wiki. THIS IS NOT THE SAME BUILD!

The general idea is a self-buffing, self-healing, DPS. Let me know what you think.

As a side note, the equipment and spells are what I would get, not what you have to get.
    PLEASE comment.

    Thanks,
    Catmage2

You get some self-repairing and utility from 8 wizard, but not enough for my taste. I prefer a minimum of 11 wizard for Reconstruct, although 12 is even better.

The general population is going to label you as gimp, so it's important to get every last advantage that you can when you're making this kind of a multiclass - the battle arcane isn't held in esteem.

Stats: Putting points into Dex isn't helpful - you're reflex save is going to be pretty bad either way. Same for Wisdom - your will save is the only reason to raise wisdom, but as a WF you are immune to many of the things Will save protects you from.

Skills: Repair is 99.99% useless on a build that can repair itself with spells. If you need the extra hitpoints after shrining, that's a testament to needing more wizard levels, not the repair skill.

Jump is a level 1 spell that an 8th level wizard can use to get a +20 to the jump skill. Add in strength bonus, Greater Heroism, and a Luck bonus, and you should hit the hard-cap of 40.

Armor Class: I don't recommend chasing that particular rabbit. At the lower levels, AC is relatively easy to make effective, but that doesn't last very long.

Prestige: You took Archmage with Illusion, so I'm presuming that you want to cast Phantasmal Killer. Even with the bonus from Archmage, you're not going to be able to reliably land that spell - you don't have the +5 from Heighten, and your base spell pen is only 8 compared to a full wizard's 20 (and they normally have +4 from feats too).

If you just want the SLA from Illusion for casting invisibility, you can use scrolls pretty cheaply and save even more spell points.

I love my battle arcanes, but they do take a lot of work to get right.

Must be a pretty fun toon to play.

I built a 12 fighter / 8 bard for Kensai II & WC I. Songs, 1:36 secs. haste & displace with empowered/quickened heals is pretty nice.

You don't gain that much from those 8 wizard levels and in my opinion, 8 bard levels would give just as much self sufficiency & utility (songs for the party, etc.)

You might want to consider going 17 wizard / 2 monk / 1 rogue for a DPS build. Let's say you will not be called a gimp this way.
