    Post stormsongs, rogue bard build , take a look and be brutal ^^

    my current stormsongs is a 16/4 bard rogue, but he was orig close to this but drow, and i adore him. he's acceptable dps (i hit for lower 140's with sneak bonus) can toss out group aoe heals doing like 60-150 ish, restore mana, conserve mana, etc. his hp is acceptable (esp when you factor in evasion, blur, displacement, etc) and has enough umd to use pretty much anything i may trip over while disarming non-epic traps etc.

    this is just my human variation for when i tr, i'm trying to stay close to the same, but bring a bit more into the mix (he was my first drow toon orig, and when i made him i had a whopping 6 con, yay 64ish hp at level 12!) >yay for lesser's<

    and yes, i do have all of those +1's and about 3/4 of those +2 tomes, i plan on getting the rest and my ey's rapier before i tr (just need my seal for my epic). also any gear you'd suggest i farm out before i tr other then the rapier? i have stormreavers nap, the song regen cloak from lords, the fullabashi set, and my ds light armor all set, plus a radiance 2 and a lit 2 khopesh.
    (working on a light2 goggles atm

    p.s. obv i plan on swapping quite a few spells out here and there, prob actually start with cure light, then swap it later on for masters touch or somesuch

    I think you'd get more out of 16 Bard / 4 Rogue. Look at what two more levels give you.

    Haste Boost II
    An additional 1d6+3 sneak attack damage (total 2d6+6).
    More skill points, translating into ability spend outside of Int or more skills.
    One more BAB (every little bit counts - and this is supposedly one of the BAB threshholds for attack speed or something I've never gotten a firm grip on the benefit of 15 or 20 BAB over 14 or 19)

    You'll still have level 6 bard spells, so why not?
    White Fang (newbie-friendly build) - TWF melee dps with self-sufficiency and rogue skills.
    California King - the hagglebot craftbot alt build, pure Arty leveling with two-handed weapons.

    Looks nice enough, but 18 bard would be great (and probably will) if there were a level 18 PrC enhancement. But there isn't.

    By losing a bit of SP, 2 minutes on long buffs or 12seconds on short ones, and the mass charm song you can subtract 2 more bard levels and add 2 more rogue levels as luckness suggests.

    I went 16bard/2rogue/2fighter

    The fighter levels hurt your skills a bit (I took my levels as 1rogue/7bard/2fighter/1rogue/9bard, repairing the fighter multiclass skill mess at level 11 - taking rogue - and getting evasion. 7 bard levels between rogue and fighter because of being able to cast haste), but would give you:

    +8HP (increased hit die)
    +10HP (fighter toughness)
    +1str (fighter strength enhancement)
    2 feats
    Martial weapons proficiency
    Fighter haste boost (rogue already has one...)
    +1BAB (same as going 16bard/4rogue or pure bard, but better than 18bard/2rogue)

    I guess barbarian could work too.

    I'd also like to mention that you should start with at least 16 STR. You can easily steal away 4 ability points from Charisma (possibly with 2 taken from Int, depending on whether you take a deeper splash of rogue). You will not really miss the CHA the way you will miss the STR on a melee.

    hrm, i was playing with the idea of taking 4 like i have now (spacing the rogue out 1, 7 , 12, 16), maybe even 6 so i can get the rogue pre but i felt like the 6 was far too big a blow to my bardishness i suppose with the 4 as long as i say screw dc's (dc specced bard kinda a monumental pain anyway) i can still heal, buff, and restore my mana (the point of the spellsinger pre, i can ignore alotta mana) i liked 4 for the uncanny dodge but i find i dont use it all that often (big exception, enter the kobold and sos). when does rogue get access to improved evasion? prob WAY to far in for me to consider it.

    i'm completely out of my element when it comes to trapmaking, maybe i should study it a bit, might have some benefit.
