    Default General Green Steel question

Ready to put the third tier on my cloak. The first two are +25 hp and +3 strength skills(total). I was thinkinf of adding +3 constitution skills for the last tier to go for more xp. My level 20 fighter has 729 xp now but I would still like a little more. How would the exceptional constitution effect things? His name is Sorrowanddoo if you want to have a peak. I have some goggles with triple neg on them but I have to do three more shrouds to hit 20 so he can wear them. Any input would be appreciated.

That's +3 con SKILLS. Not +3 CON. I actually started a thread the other day about GS and someone pointed that out.

You can only put exceptional stats on weapons. You should add 25 more HP and str skills if that is still available to you. This is a great planner: http://www.iro.umontreal.ca/~delalle...roud/index.php

What I did was screw up the cloak to begin with and I am trying to make the best of it. I didn't want the str skills to begin with. I wanted the con skills. What I need to know is if I can make the last tier con and +25 health to go with the already there +3 str skills and +20 hp. When I put this in the planner it works but it gives no 3rd tier bonus. Just want to know if this will work and how the con skills add to stuff I already have.

Con skills do absolutely nothing for a fighter. The only skill that uses con is concentration, and that's only useful to casters and monks. Go with strength skills.

The best of it is to scrap the item (bank it, in case deconstruction ever becomes an option), and start a new item, using a planner this time.

You wouldn't spend $50,000 putting a yugo engine into your ferrari just because you bought it in yellow instead of red, would you?

Don't **** away your large ingredients on an item you KNOW is a bad one.
Kobold sentient jewel still hate you.

What I meant was I made the panacea str set instead of the other so I am not that far off.

    You have a few options:

    1) Ditch the item
    2) Do something different with the third tier
    3) Make it a Triple Water item (i.e., do the same thing with the third tier that you did with the first and second tiers)

    Let's ignore 1 for a moment.

If you do 2, you will NOT get a third tier special effect on the item--all you will get is the extra 20 HP and the +3 to your Concentration skill. The only way for you to get a third tier effect would be to go with 3. All special effects require either all three tiers be the same (e.g., Water Water Water) or the first and second tier be different (e.g., Water Earth Water-Earth). You've already got Water Water, so you can't get a special effect unless you go with Water on the third tier.

    So restating your options:

    1) Ditch the item
    2) Get HP
    3) Get HP and other stuff too

If you decide you do want to keep the item (it's not a bad item so it's probably worth keeping), you really want to make the third tier the same as the first two. Anything else would be making it just lose beneficial effects.

There are 3 clickies that could have been made with str skills/hp. Horrid Wilting (which means he could make a Corrosive Salt guard with 5 LDS) Panacea (which means he could make Crushing Waves guard with 3 LDS) and Symbol of Weakness (which means he could make a Slay Living guard with 2 LDS) are the 3 choices that he could have made.

If he was working towards Corrosive Salt guard, that is a nice damage guard, but it's expensive. Personally I'd probably ditch the item, since the investment of base mats, smalls and mediums isn't much compared to throwing larges at something you don't especially want.

All good advice and thank you. I think I will ad the third water tier and stay with the item. I really don't want to redo the vale quests just to make a new cloak.
