    Default hairy beaters

    So, one of the advantages of u9 was custom crafting, allowing us to make good hairy beaters for monks.

    yes i know, light monks gets silver, + holy burst tod rings ftw. but i was more intrested in an 2 splash build.

    this is what i made so far. ( test case, not using silver threaded handwraps for testing purposes). made with about level(47/35/35).

    i should be able to upgrade bane, to greater bane +1 shard.
    and +4 to +5 is also +1 shard. +2 level = +4 min level, making it min level 21( i take it itll be 20).

    so my questions:
    ~~~enchiantable setup~~~
    banishing adds 4d6, but crit does not stack with banishing outfit.
    holy burst is an +4 shard(takes 2 aditional), and does not stack with the holy buurst tod ring.
    ~~~silver~~~
    any other way to get silver threaded handwraps other then running devil assault an billion times? ( enchiantables)?
    metaline means i need to get an good bypasser, but tod ring fixes that i suposed?

    anyone any tips?

    Holy > Holy Burst exactly because of the ToD ring.
    Harry is Lawful Evil, so you'll want Lawful Outsider Bane or Evil Outsider Bane
    The only two places to find Silver Threaded Handwraps are Devil's Assault, and the server specific Trade subforums on the DDO forum.

    "Hairy" beater... Love it. :-D

    All devils are lawful and so is 'Hairy". Definitely make those final wraps Lawful Outsider instead of Chaotic Outsider.

    It looks like Evil Outsider isn't craftable... yet... But Evil (when it is available) will probably be an even better choice than Lawful in the future.

    how about horoth? or tod critters, theyre evil correct?

    ok, ill switch out evil for lawfull. but i think the shard bonus wont change.

    just checked, greate evil outsider will be craftable, banishing however will not.
    or so it seems. same with smiting. so ill stick with holy.

    anything else?

    Evil Oustider Bane exists.

    Greater Evil Outsider Bane doesn't yet exist. I expect GEOB to be in the low 80's for crafting level.

    If you are trying to decide between Lawful Outsider Bane and Evil Outsider Bane, I'd go with Evil all the way because you can then use those wraps against both Demons (Chaotic Evil) and Devils (Lawful Evil).

    If you want the Greater Bane, however, then you're stuck with Greater Lawful Outsider Bane until the crafting levels are increased again.

    Holy + GLOB on silver wraps for Pit Fiend bosses (and devils in general)
    Holy + GCOB on cold iron wraps for Mariliths (Demon Queen, one ending of Genesis Point, Bastion of Power and In the Demon's Den)

    The only advantage of making them GEOB over GLOB is that the damage will work on demons and devils, but they will not break DR against the Marilith bosses (on the silver wraps).

    same place. devil assault.

    also (supposedly) in any BTA reward list, but without anything that actually says they're silver/cold iron/etc on them. you have to examine them for silver DR-breaking.

    That's pretty big news to me. I'll have to roll up a Monk and then run them through Sharn Syndicate a few times with class-related-end-rewards checked to see if I can hit the jackpot.

    I was totally expecting a different thread when I opened this...

    I've also heard the rumor that the elusive silver-threaded can be in the random parts of the BtA reward lists, but I've yet to see it myself (or know anyone that has seen them there).

    Same place. Devil Assault on Normal or Hard. I actually have some Cold Iron Threaded handwraps, just not the Silver Threaded yet.

    ok, so remade the handwraps(still missing force crit / dmg).

    and tested them in the IQ on spiders.

    the first one is my normal hit, 20 strength = +5 to dmg, 1d6 base including an few guild shrines.
    the second one should be outsider bane(2d6)? anyone got any clue where does that 14 hit comes from?
    third one is my holy,
    fourth one is tharnes bracers(8) + 1d6 SA from 1 level roque.

    FYI, this is an wizard running with tensers. which i am going to TR.
    he has 0 feats in melee, nor any basic investment into strength. and was able to hit easy in there.

    PS, ow yeah, i tried grinding for silver handwraps. no luck so far. i am so going to hate the droprate of these weapons XD

    You got the order wrong.
    1: Base damage
    2: Sneak attack
    3: Holy (note the Good damage symbol)
    4: Bane (note the Bane damage symbol)
