U9 Mountain Stance Monk viable?

I currently have a level 20 Windstance Wis/Dex (finesse) Monk but Oremi's has eluded me and I'm concerned about the changes coming up. With the "buff" to Mountain Stance III/IV I'm wondering if I can generate ki by getting hit! I'm at the level where my 50 AC isn't so useful and I have the Jidz bracers for increased damage die (meaning I can swap out the Garments of Equilibrium for my Dragontouched with Salt Guard.)

Has anyone played around with this possibility on Lama, or even on live? With some nice guards I'm thinking it might not be terrible.

Thoughts?
