Today I have had the oppertunity to be in game for an extended time period.. got lucky and completed my first shroud, had some lag then but we made it thru.

Now after that is where I have had an issue. Upon leaving quest and getting end reward everything just stood still, not even my mouse pointer moved and seems that when this type of lag spike hits me, I have to reboot system because keyboard commands are also frozen/non-responsive. Now once in awhile would not bother me but for about the last hour I have had to reboot4 or 5 times, I was in public area moving inventory stuff on my mule toon, luckily it looks like I did not lose anything.
As of the last reboot have stopped trying toplay for the day. Just too many times too close together.

I now see why so many people complain about this problem.

That's not server lag....that's your system (based on your description). "This problem" is your problem and not what people complain about.
