Please Fix Myddo - I loathe interviews

I been playing less and less. Just not gaming like I use to. But has pugging become so rough that I have to fill out my resume and have an interview to get into a group?

Requesting that Myddo gets working soon. I would much rather be accepted on the assumption that I either do or dont' know what I'm doing, than have to explain in detail my experience.

dont use my ddo...did not recognize your caster.
I just asked some questions and got no answers. To me that usually means someone not familiar with the quest or very new.
I usually try to get confirmation they can hear and respond...and if a hard raid I ask them one or two questions like 'done it before' 'can handle yourself' etc..

Maybe you were teleporting...but I got no answer and was filling fast. I usually remove anyone like that asap..sometimes I make a mistake though.

So then don't respond to the interview. Or do what I do and respond/link with something entirely random (you'd be surprised how often that earns an invite).

I don't play much, mainly in a solo guild and pug almost exclusively -- which is pretty much your scenario, and I don't find it to be very wide-spread for norm LFMs.

i feel bad, been on the other side of that before.
I am really bad at names...and so many have so many alts, many in diff guilds. So many guilds are close in name now..

it is all a blur for my old mind to remember. well, at least i will remember bunk for a few weeks, so it should be all good....

Well you're always suspect in any group you join so I can't blame someone for wanting your CV.

In all seriousness, I agree with you 100%. Myddo is a very usefull tool on many different levels and to have it not working is just ridiculous. They might as well remove it entirely if they don't intend to fix it so it works for everyone.

all my characters have "my ddo me for alts/gear" in their bio and as long as myddo worked i never had issues with getting in to grps, now it seems you need to send your CV, friend list, alts and shoe size even before you try to join.

I try to remember to log off in random stupid gear (like 3 dex items, the korthos axe, and a perform item on a barbarian) but I don't always remember.

If asked to link boss beaters I usually link a muckbane or a disruptor so some other equally useless item for that fight.

I still haven't figured out how to deal with interviews. The angel on one shoulder tells me to either say "no thanks" and move on (which I've done) or to simply comply (which I've done). The devil wants me to either link something dumb (muckbane or worse) or to link loads of epic and raid gear to fill up the screen with goodies. So far the angel has won. But the devil is gaining ground.

I take a blood, urine, stool, and....um....fluid sample to all my job interviews. To keep things simple I carry them in a paper bag all mixed up, sometimes I add Cool Whip. If the interview goes South I offer to produce more samples on the fly. Got me the sweet job I have today!

Too bad you can't add icy touch to a named weapon though, that would have made it uber! Can you imagine a +1 ice damage on that!

I know what I can do and so do my friends and that is why I stay mostly in guild I have been around a long time and will not join any group that requires interviews.

That is one thing that has turned me away from pugging.

At least with my ddo they can just type name in and see that I have the proper equipment and such.

Seriously though what in this game really requires an interview. Everything accept some epics are easily low manned just grab some buddies and go because going through an interview process just to play a game meh I will do something else.

Well, many of us absolutely can't stand pugs who can't/don't/won't communicate. And I have posted before, and will say it again, if asked question 'X' then get an answer to 'Z', it's like saying you don't wanna be in my group. So why did you hit the lfm to begin with?

MyDDO can be fixed or not, but gaitors gonna gait regardless if MyDDO is fixed. Fixing MyDDO doesnt fix poor quality raid leaders who fail to understand that you dont need to be pimped out in TOD and epic gear to run shroud on normal.
