Default Looking for a little Bard Help

So last night I got this crazy idea. It's REALLY crazy. With the new half-elf race, and the first level racial feat, I came up with the concept to build a Melee Spellsinger 18 Bard/2 (Rogue perhaps). With the half elf racial feat I can take Fighter and gain Melee Martial Prof. While the BaB would be kinda bad I think it could be manageable.

What I'm looking for is a little insight from a bards point of view and maybe a layout of feats and skills, etc. etc.
Anyone care to take a whack?

While that's doable, most bards just cast Master's Touch if they don't have martial prof; or use khopeshes, since you need to spend a feat to get the prof regardless. Also, most Spellsingers stay pure for the bard capstone.

Of the 1/2 elf feats I think bard is the class where they could be helpful. They are not the end all but there could be an advantage.

    - Pure Bard with martial feats (fighter). Virtuoso seems like a good choice, though a cast of MT would work for your prof.
    - Bard with 3 extra fascinates (bard). Untested but if it is truly based off of perform then potentially a heavy multi-classed bard could benefit. Say 12/8 fighter/bard. Or some build with 8-16 bard, max perform and decent CHA.
    - Bard with +2 to all saves (paladin). Chances are your CHA will be 14 to give +2 saves.
    - Rogue for the extra SA.

It gives some flexibility, but in a lot of cases with bards Humans are the best choice simply for the extra feat.
