Default Looking for a proven solo build.

I realize that this has probably been asked 1,000 times, so let's just make it 1,001. What I'm looking for is a solid solo character that you've played and had success all the way to level 20. I know that there's a ton of ideas so I'm looking to see what you have to offer.

I have access to all races and classes as well as 32 point builds. I also would like a build that would start out with starter equipment (no hand-me-downs).

I'm currently trying out a remake of the Warpriest build and I'm enjoying it so far, but I'd like to try others as well.

I'm looking for as much detail on the build (level by level if possible) that you can provide.

    Thanks for your help!

From what I have seen, king of the solo builds is probably a favored soul damage caster. They just kite blade barrier and heal themselves. Its not exactly a deep strategy but it can take skill to do it well.

WF battle sorcs/wizards are also in that camp, its just that firewall has more mobs that ignore the damage and they don't have the super jump to get out of tight spots with.

If you want to melee, I'm not sure whats best. I like the healing amp paladin/monks pretty well, go for an AC focus on them and you should be nearly un-killable.

The key to soloing is not just in having some "uber build" off the shelf. The key is having the skill to play the build effectively, and having a solo build that works with your preferred playstyle.

A well-played "battle cleric" can solo brilliantly. A badly played one cannot even pull their weight in a group. Same for the Favored Souls, same for the Warforged melee sorcerers, etc...

Once you have the play skills to make use of a solo build, you really won't need to ask the forums to hand you a build that you copy blindly.

Basically, to solo, you need some way to heal yourself, and some way to kill monsters. Beyond that, there are quite a few paths to success.
