Summoning a Guild Portal in Quest Penelty Incurred??

Any thoughts input Help.........last night was late taking a pummeling and tired thought use summon guild portal and wen I left the quest I didn't get the usual QUEST NOT OVER BLAH BLAH PENELTY YADADA......so I. Haven't gone back yet HMMMM be kool if there was a reentry option from our dear captain !!!!!!! (Least it should be) any body have any views please
