Default Can YOU solve this puzzle?

I am trying to develop a puzzle in which my players will have to discern the proper course of action to take based on a small number of cryptic clues. I guess it could loosely be considered a "logic" puzzle. PM me if you think you've figured out what to do... Please don't post your answer in this thread, as my players sometimes lurk these forums.

"As you near the end of the corridor, it appears you are approaching a dead end. However, you notice strange carvings on the far wall. Advancing to get a closer look reveals three polished, square stones - approximately 1 foot square and jutting out an inch or two from the wall. The leftmost stone is etched with a crescent moon, the middle is adorned with a star, and the far right stone shows a carving of the sun. When you are within arm's reach of the wall, a booming voice announces two simple, yet cryptic statements:

'Pelor is first in the eyes of his followers, but they are blind.'

'Slowed with age, the eldest adornment of the night sky comes last.'

You instinctively glance around you, searching for the source of the voice. You do not see anything which could have uttered the phrases you heard, but you do notice that the ceiling is riddled with countless thick, iron spikes.

    What do you do?"

Is this puzzle too easy/obvious? Or is the second clue a bit too vague? I want it to be challenging, but not borderline-impossible.

    The OP did specifically ask:

So in defense of the OP I would ask that you edit out your solution possibilities and send a PM.

Also: PM sent with my thoughts.

EDIT: Just realized that in quoting you I had your possible answers in this post. Hense the new and improved /snip

Thank you for not posting the answer in this thread. I have received a couple PMs with the correct response; however, one person had the ceiling fall on them.

This puzzle is way easy, but it does require you to listen carefully. I think it's a decent one, even if it's not incredibly difficult.
