Default what you should know about slow fall

    1. at low levels it will NOT save you, don't waste your time

    2. you can't choose which level of slowfall you wish to use(but they should really make it like the stances)

    3. just as slowfall affects your falling speed, it ALSO affects your rising speed.
EX. for quests like reaver raid, and bastion, where you get shot up, slow fall will act more like slow rise.
so in bastion, if your wondering why you can't get even halfway to the switch, try turning your slowfall off

I find it great in Reaver's but, now that you have pointend it out, this explains why I can never reach Mentau in Litany.

    +1

EDIT: unlike Feather Fall, this behaviours seems logical to me: Slow Fall, according to the description, doesn't actually make you to fall slower, but warps gravity around you. Maybe, you will eventually warp the whole Eberron into a black hole.

For 1 and 2, yeah people should just get Feather Fall items. For 3, thanks for telling us that.
In case you didn't already notice, my posts that end with must NEVER EVER, under any circumstances, be taken seriously.

I disagree for wanting different levels of slow fall to use, because it is a constant mastery of it that keeps it all stacking up there for us. It is not I want to use the lvl 5 slowfall, it is I have 2 ranks of slowfall and they stack with each other.

Also should be noted that at 20 you only need to turn on slowfall if you want to have a free feather fall, as you can drop from any height minus taking damage. But I am sure most of you already knew that

Ahh darn that is why I have such a problem with those darn air jets in the Pit !!
I'll just have to remember to turn off my slowfall.

have to say though even weak low level slowfall coupled with a decent tumble take out a lot of damage. I notice it all the time when I'm not playing one of my monks.

Wow, I have never read/heard this anywhere before. How can this be? This is important information! Never thought it would have an affect on the air jumps. Of course now I'll have to test it out myself.

thats the real reason theres no epic levels in the game... monks gravitational field gets so bad it'd effectively be an always-on implosion.. or possibly would turn u into a katamari
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was, now what's it is weird and scary to me.

You cant toggle slwo fall like you can with ff items, meaning if you cancel ff in mid jump nothing happens, you continue to fall slowly....real odd part is, if you then equip a ff item and remove it, you will drop like a stone.

Same applies in reverse, turning slow fall on mid fall does nothing, equiping a ff item and removing it will give you back the float.

So monks shoudl always carry a true ff item around, for cases where you might need to drop quickly and not take damage at the end of your trip

Never noticed slow fall affecting air blast jumps, only reverse gravity effects.

So unless I am mistaken it shouldnt affect air blast or assisted jumps, it only affects gravitational effects.

level 20 monks take no falling damage period, whether slow fall is on or not.

at least thats what ive been told. and running in Coalesence chamber and dropping from top to bottom with 0 damage inclines me to believe it.(like 7 tumble so thats not it.)

Well there has always been a weird thing when I run the pit where I try and follow someone up and I never get as high as they do and it does this weird glitch/jump/rubberband/warp thing in the middle of the air blast.

hmm I have a lvl 7 monk in the bank, I'll have to dust her off and run the pit and test it out.
Yummy another pug pit run , always good for laughs. Well it is for science I guess.
    can't say as i wouldn't mind a shot at a muckdoom though.
