    Default Shortstab - a U5 Build

A build based around Halfling Guile and Dragonmarks, Monk for Fists of Iron and Ninja Spy, with Ranger I get 3 favored enemies and all my TWF feats plus 100% off hand attacks. I figure this guy will mainly be in windstance most of the time giving him haste and 5% Double Strike. This build should be able to solo a good bit as it has decent saves, decent AC (using Defensive Fighting) and is self healing. I will be honest though the DPS should be somewhat middle of the road but not gimp either.

I have created a build using 36 points for one of my TR guys however it could easily be modified for a 32 or 28 point build. I would just drop sneaks of shadows and pick up a 2nd toughness.

I did debate starting with 12int for Combat Expertise, however I would have to drop Dex or Wis both of which would drop his standing AC in other stances like PA or none at all.

Does ranger Devotion apply to the halfling `marks? If so, that would be pretty sweet.

What weapons do you use until you get Ninja Spy at lvl 12? I'm presuming handwraps or kamas.

That is an excellent question that I will need to do some testing on ... I assumed that would stack. handwrap/kamas or just go uncentered with rapier/ss until 12

I think dropping 2 dex for 4 starting int to give you the CE option and more skill points is not a bad trade. I would think differently if this was a finesse build, but str based you can afford the 2 dex.
