    Default U5 Ninja Spy Build

    OK, this is the first time I have posted on the boards for build feedback, put I do appreciate criticism.

    The goal is to take one of my older characters and TR him for a ninja spy he already has Past Life Rogue and Fighter, so this is a 32 point Drow build. I was trying to think of something that would take advantage of Sneaks of Shadows shortswords and the New Ninja Spy stuff. I did save 6AP as the char builder I was using didnt have the new stuff in it yet.

    I don't know if I am really comfortable with the amount of HPs he will end up with but he should have a decent amount of AC as 8 rogue will also get him uncanny dodge. Having played alot of rogues I must say I dont think any of their Tier one PREs are worth the cost. Also I have not done the Equipment breakdown but, it would be typical monk stuff btw with some Greensteel shortswords.

    It looks like you're trying to go for a high-AC build. If that's the case - and since you know you'll be focused on short swords - then this is one of those few instances where I might go with a high-DEX Finesse + Power Attack build. DEX 17 + 5 lvl-ups + 2 drow + 2 rogue = 28. What to drop for Finesse & PA, though - maybe TWD & one Toughness? Move 2 pts from STR to CON to make up for the lost Toughness; and the higher DEX helps offset the loss of TWD.

    Well to be honest I was thinking of ditching CE for PA in general in this build. When making it I was thinking of having a decent enough AC for everything except epic.

    If I ditched CE I would drop 2 int and pick up one dex, that and I would still have defensive fighting. This would not be a max DPS build by any stretch, but would be a nice combo of Monk and Rogue Skills with quite a bit of sneak attack damage too with the new Monk PRE. I was also thinking of dropping 2WDefense for Quick Draw, as this toon will be using Haste Boost and Sneaks of Shadows.

    Personally I think Weapon Finesse is pretty much a waste of a feat on any build, but that is just me.

    Default Update on this build

    I decided to pretty much revamp this whole build after talking to a few people. I think having 100% off hand attacks and 5% double strike from windstance would be pretty nice. Although this build is very similar to an exploiter build. I am assuming the 25% miss chance due to incorporeality on ninja spy stacks with Blur/Displacement. This build also allows me the only 3 FEs I really end up caring about Giant, Undead and Evil Outsiders. I did not work too hard on the skill setup because on these multiclasses they end up being a headache however the main ones I tried to put points into. I could prolly spare a few more points for Open Lock if I went back over it. The skills are also the reason I went 2 rogue and made it the 20th level, as it also gives me another +1 reflex.

    How so since a pure dex build can't hit the broad side of a barn and I know this as my first character suffered from 1-3 of not hitting squat until I took it then I had such low str (6 or 8 I can't remember 100%) I could but I was hitting for 1-3 as a rogue.

    If you don't have weapon finesse on a pure dex build then you are going to miss so much your party will be doing the killing for you.
