    Question Best TWF combo ?

    Hi again all.

I've got a dark blade build (halfling) and I'm just wondering...

The build and most recommend dual rapiers, or rapier on main hand and shortsword on offhand during the beginning...I'm wondering what the next best combo is.

I'm only lvl3 (2 rogue/1 fighter) but i'm just tired of the rapier/shortsword cliche...what would be the next best thing for a halfling rogue? I don't get any enhancements for rapiers...Please, any advice is def. welcome?

how bout a light pick? or anything ??? please advise.

If you think you can handle the Kopesh being a slightly less common drop...and the fact that they are expensive on the auction house..go with Kopesh. Its a **** fine weapon to Dual Wield. Also you will have to end your path and begin making the choices for yourself if you go thi sroute, as you will need to take the feat: Exotic Weapon Proficiency: Kopesh

What level are you, and what do your stats look like? Yes, until you're above a certain level, you're going to miss more, since the BAB (base attack bonus) and +'s to hit from enhancements, weapons, level ups in primary stat won't be there, and even when using a light weapon in the off-hand, you have a lower to-hit than using 1 weapon. Also, are you dex based with finesse? Str based? As a rogue, prolly neither of them is maxed, so you're going to be slow burn. Oh, the reason people recommend rapiers or khopesh is the crit range and multiplier on them, which does make them good damage, khopeshes more than rapiers for the dmg type.

Do you have the goggles of insight +1 to hit, and the appropriate salvation of korthos set? (Prolly the Nimble Hand one, which while it only gives +1 to hit, instead of the +2 for Anger's, gives also +2 sneak attack damage, stacking of course).

Assuming you're Dex-based, dual light pick is good too and can be fun with big crit numbers Longsword wouldn't work since it's not a finesseable weapon.
If Str-based, best is dual khopesh.

    Da, komrade.

KaplanPD: if your rogue is a DEX-based Finesse build, then rapiers remain your best option. But if you want something different, there's always kukris: same crit range & multiplier, but d4 rather than d6; but no extra offhand penalty for dual-wielding them like you would with 2 rapiers. Picks have the highest crit multiplier in DDO (x4), but the smallest crit range (20 only). I prefer to crit frequently rather than crit extra-hard. No reason not to experiment with weapons you find, though.

I use a kukri in my off hand. It looks cool, has a good crit range, and is classified as light for those pre-OTWF levels.
