    Default Really impressed with DDO

Free to play brought me in and I am really impressed with DDO. I think maybe 15 a month is to high for me as a price point unless I get friends involved (could happen); though, I foresee some store purchases while I run through the story line. I do have a question, I am talking two friends into trying it and they are going to use free accounts from the same house/ IP address. Will that be a problem?

The router should take care of that.

I always thought MMO's were overpriced, but really if you think about it, it saves money in the long run (if you play games normally). Rather than buying $50 games every month or two, you are only spending $15. Now factor in the cost/time ratio. I don't see many things out there that can entertain you for hours on end for $15 a month.

Glad to hear you are enjoying the game though. RL friends would be a blast to run with, but since all mine are Playstation/360 fans, I'm out of luck there.
There is no lag. Just because you had none before and can't play now doesn't mean the server move had anything to do with it.

Yea, a router will be fine to connect all 3 of you at once.

As for the price, it doesn't sound too bad, but I have yet to do it. I have spent $20 on Adventure Packs though, and I don't forsee spending anymore anytime soon. I bought Delera's, Tangleroot, STK, Catacombs, and Sharn (I don't have any high level characters right now, highest is 9) and I've more than enough quests to do right now lol.

Also, once you spend any amount of $ into Turbine Points, it automatically makes you a Premium player, as opposed to Free. That means you automatically get 2 extra character slots.

That's just my 2 cents, I've been playing since November of 2009 and I've been hooked ever since.

I always though of $15 a month being cheaper than going out to eat so skip going out to eat once a month and get all the content plus free turbine points.

That has always been my rationalization. I could easily burn through a new $40-$60 game in a month (even less now since most of my friends have gotten jobs out of state and my social life has shriveled >_<). $15 suddenly seems pretty cheap.

Edit: Or I could just pick up some more hobbies like a normal person.

    Normal? o.O How tediously boring

If you love the game then subscribe. You don't want to have your time spoilt by having to grind turbine points and limit yourself to only FtP quests.

Best fun you can have in your underwear alone in your room.......ermmmm
