    Default Scavenger Hunt Map

This is a Map of the Scavenger hunt with enough egg locations for you to plan a route to achieve the "Ultimate Aura of the Traveler" for maximum win/awesome.

The map is now complete enough that I'm only going to be adding new eggs if you know of additional GOLD EGG locations.

    The Map:

    ------

This is a route submitted by Eridanos which requires no buffs at all:

The following notes accompany this route:
at the big red A, there is a silver egg on the roof, and then another one halfway down the building on the North side (right side as you are running towards the roof silver) in an alcove. If you edge yourself off the roof just above it, you can get that second silver without having to climb back up the ladder there. There are three bronzes hiding in the alcove and bushes just below that, but they can be skipped. At the big red B, you have to jump up onto the slope right at the corner of the building, you'll get stuck, but can jump again and keep going. The last Gold egg near the B there is on a little spire just past the round roof buildings.
    ------

Here is a route that I have been using based off of dwelsh99's route. It requires no speed boosts to complete with room for a few mistakes. You will still need a jump buff (I had at least rank 30 on all attempts at this route):

    ------

dwelsh99 was first to post a suggested path for getting the ultimate aura, which can be found here:
    http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=231865
I have overlayed his path on my map:

He has also posted a youtube video showing him running the route:

    Default Egg locations

I have found 3 gold eggs. One is on top of a building just north of the gate to Searing Heights. The second is on top of a tower just south of the Divind Scrolls & Reagents vendor - he located in the center of the Marketplace. The third is just south of the balcony of the Binder house - located just north of the bank. Not sure if there are more gold eggs but those are the ones I found so far. Hope it helps!

    Certainly does!

Right now I'm going to focus mainly on gold and silver since the bronze are literally everywhere. Going to check those locations and get some screenshots to put them accurately on the map.

For those wondering in the meantime there is a nice cache of silver and gold eggs in the bottom left of the map near the twelve enclave. You will need a little jumping power to reach them though.

I think know that tower. I was playing on it before the update. Its on the side of the central market that faces the gate to the harbor. I think you find its ladder near the Red Fang and Trog Stench quests. You have to climb more than one to get to the top. Its obvious from the bottom because its a big tower with nothing on top of it.
The problem is never how to get new, innovative thoughts into your mind, but how to get old ones out. Every mind is a building filled with archaic furniture. Clean out a corner of your mind and creativity will instantly fill it.

    Hey folks,
first off, thanks Crysto, great map. I hope you don't mind my butchering of it. I've found a way to get Ultimate Aura with no buffs whatsoever, lowest jump skill I have tested is -5 (full plate and heavy shield on), and I can still get Ultimate Aura with about ten seconds to spare. Here's the link (now updated to take Looniper's comments on the other thread into account):

A couple notes: at the big red A, there is a silver egg on the roof, and then another one halfway down the building on the North side (right side as you are running towards the roof silver) in an alcove. If you edge yourself off the roof just above it, you can get that second silver without having to climb back up the ladder there. Here's the last gold, if people weren't sure where it was: http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...nalGoldEgg.jpg

So there you go. Not the quickest run, but perfect for lowbies and mules and suchlike. It is possible to skip a fair number of the bronzes I have marked on here, but I haven't figured out precisely how many you can skip and still get the Ultimate Aura. I go around the back of the bank to get to the silver above the tavern - it may be quicker to go in front of the bank, but I couldn't make the jump at -5 Jump skill.

That's my route for getting ultimate aura with 35s left.

No haste, no feather fall and a jump of 4.

So uh...could anyone help a lowbie out with getting ultimate auras?

I only have a level 5 wizard (Gharnef Synra). Naturally, his jump skill is very low (0 with buffs/enchantments?) but I bought 5 lasting jump potions. I have 5 of those things to start the hunt and one of them upgrade thingamajigs.

    Playing on Argonnessen.

Also...are the eggs in the same place this time around?

(Yes...I do see the irony in that I just bumped the thread...lol)
