Default Clams and the Inspired Quarter

I knew the Inspired Quarter quests were a thinly veiled swipe at Scientology, but I have to admit, the clam shaped chest at the end of "Eye of the Titan" was a nice touch.

    Entirely coincidental, I assure you.

Also a thinly veiled swipe at psychology. The Freudian touches in Jeets were just plain silly. You COULD have had the monsters saying lines about cigars and their mothers.

Then again, Jeets is a silly NPC. At least it was amusing, especially the Spa. Haven't laughed at anything in thegame since I figured Admiral Abkar and Rocchussin in-jokes. Jeets is silly without nodding to the fourth wall.

Pay attention to Wrath of the Flame. After the first fake Lightbringer is exposed and there's a break in the fighting, clicking on any still alive NPCs will get various responses and one of them is about how he hates changing passwords. I took a screenshot of it because it was that good. Anyone who has worked a secure site will know what the NPC means. 10-14 digits, special characters, numbers, capitals, etc. and changed monthly or even weekly.

Ohh...I will look out for that. I ran a SIPernet and NIPernet for the Navy. Not my job, but I had the ball dropped on me. Jeez! I HATE passwords. My love of anime saved me there.

I totally forgot about that one!

THere is an ARNOLD one on one of the high level hirelings (I think the DDO ones) that is good. I believe he is a Barbarian.

Also the Inevitable in "Made to Order" is also named Arnold and the end of the quest is like the begining of Get Smart with the doors openning, still gives me a laugh

And the four members of Manchester United (2006) that give the Depths quests.
    Almost nearly always: Ghallanda
Most likely: Heisenberg, Landau, Boltzmann, Sommerfeld, Rutherford, Bohr, Tezla, and Dirac.
But also: Vigner, Minkowski, Schrodinger, Fermi, Hartree, Sternn, Gerlach, and others.

You know I completely forgot that Get Smart had doors like that way before MST3K did.

The Made to Order doors always makes me say “We’ve got movie sign!!!” over voicechat.

Anyone else notice that you have to protect “the Statler Brothers” in “Stand your ground”?
Things worthy of Standing Stone going EXTREME PREJUDICE™ on.:
    • Epic and Legendary Mysterious ring upgrades, please.
    • Change the stack size of filigree in the shared bank to 50. The 5 stack makes the shared bank worthless for storing filigree in a human usable manner.
    • Fixing why I don't connect to the chat server for 5 minutes when I log into a game world.
    • Fixing the wonky Lightning Sphere and Tactical Det firing by converting them to use alchemist spell arcing.
    • Redoing the drop rates of tomes in generic and raid loot tables.

That's my favorite part of the quest!

Oh, and in Dream Conspiracy (that's the alley-quest, right?) the dialogue from the NPCs who you rescue in the 3 secret doors is very funny! Especially the one that keeps asking you ridiculous questions. It's really worth taking the time to read their responses!

I knew the devs had a seriously skewed sense of humor the first time I entered the Waterworks and encountered Private Jakes. I stopped, re-read the name and just started laughing. My wife asked me what was so funny and I told her, 'I just ran into Private Jakes in the server!', sadly I had to explain it to her.

    * for those who don't get it *

Jakes - old term for an outhouse.

    Default Delirium

Ok, you're not fooling me. I finally ran Delirium last weekend and "Clambies"? Clam headed zombies?!! The CoS will surely rain death on Turbine now.

    Awesome and hilarious.

    Shroud 2 is pac-man shaped/themed.
