Default Info on an old module

My friend and I were talking about old D&D, 1st edition, the other day and he remembered something.
There was a module I used to own, but we can't remember a single thing about it except the fact that one room was filled with various pools. Some helpful, some deadly, some dry.
Does any know what module that was from?

And, bonus question, do you remember how many and what the various pools were?

    Default Vaguely remember...

I want to say that was a higher level quest (pre-Immortal) series of AD&D. I think there were pegataurs - part elves/pegasus critters in that game. The cover had a soaring Pegataur on the front. As for what the pools did, I can't remember.

I think you may be talking about the original intro module in some of the early basic sets.

I am not sure but there is a huge list of modules here and most of them have full discriptions of what are in each.

I think it was the intro module (Unkown). There was this room with pools that either gave you a +1 granted to your highest ability score, poisoned you, or did something strange to your character.

Ah, I remember when there were personality trait tables you could consult, as well as tables on different types of insanity your character would be afflicted with.

    Good times.

If it's In Search of the Unknown you're thinking of, there were 14 pools in that chamber. I can list them if you want.

Now that I've shot my nerd load for the day, I think I'll go grab some dinner.
