I have made it too the prisoner, im in the process of trying to figure out the cage puzzle but im stuck on the northeast cube of the room, every path i try on the northeast and southeast cubes dont seem to work is their anyone who knows how to do this puzzle?

OK, so this one totally confused me.

I released the prisoner using the key, but then it seemed that the puzzle didn't "work" anymore.
Unlike the other puzzles, I didn't see any "source" for the power that usually runs through
the puzzle pieces. Do you just have to line them up, and then they work, or does the
puzzle shut off when you open the door with the key?

OP, the first time I got to this puzzle, was soloing with my favor character(max favor) and it took me almost 2 hours to do the puzzle...although it was the first day it came out lol. Although now, only takes a few minutes as I can just run around and use the pics I have to complete it
Argent, if you use the key, it locks out the puzzle. There are 2 options, you can do puzzle to free him and get extra chest(or kill him) or use key and no extra chest.

Also, if only as a rule, few parties take the time to solve that puzzle. If you're going for Favor, it's unnecessary, and if you're going for XP, there are faster ways.
