Default How to play with 2 or more accounts?

I'd like to play at least with 2 accounts, in order to give buffs to a fighter in 1 account from my wizard in the other account.
Is there a way to execute at least 2 ddo client windows? (it tried run as, etc. and nothing worked).
Thanks for any advice on this,
    Alejandro

You need to make a copy of your entire DDO directory into another directory.

Then you need to load both launchers (dndlauncher.exe) at the same time (a new launcher won't load if the game is already running) then click 'start' at approx the same time to load both games.

You need quite a powerful machine for this to work smoothly.

Thanks a lot! That worked nicely. Although it doesn't run to smoothly is enough to for example help level up a Character form another account of give some buffsm, etc.

You won't really be able to get buffs from a high level character, because when they step in your quest/wilderness zone your xp will be ruined. However this tactic would work for characters within 3 levels of your own.

An easier method might be to buy a hireling as they're reasonably cheap and carry some buffs. It helps to know which hireling carry what, and knowing to turn them off to just stand around is the best option. In particular I take a level 13 hireling (Barrage) to heal/haste/displace my WF ranger and he only costs 5k gp. A stack of Haste pots cost in the range of 80k gp per 100+ since little Barrages haste lasts 1:20 that's about 2.5 stacks worth of haste pots, plus heals and displacement. Making him super efficient to use in quests where you can control the flow of progression.

So are you saying you want your wiz to buff up your character before you start a quest/ instance? Or just pass you stuff which can be done through the mail system.

Wouldn't it be easier to just ask for some Mage in the area to come buff ya? Might make a friend or get someone to go questing with you.

RE: Hirelings.. wait are you saying we can give them stuff? or that we can get them to "DO" stuff to us? How can we know what they are capable of carrying or performing.. I know for one that the Lvl 1 Barb can definitely not stabalize my dead squishy... nope not at all but he appeared to be trying hehe.

Most of the caster hirelings have a spell bar of spells that they can and will cast. You can put them on autopilot or direct them to cast spells from that limited list. I think I recall somewhere someone had pulled together a list of spells the various ones had.

The way I do it is borrow the laptop while playing and have run at the same time. Lots less power on the machine and one can actually have both accounts doing useful stuff. Like last night I had a midlevel Paladin on the second account keep health tabs on the Guy in the first Sharn quest, while my slightly higher level fighter type (with no real ability to heal others) killed the mobs. When the NPC got hurt, I had the Paladin LoH and then start tossing CMW from a wand on him to avoid failing the quest.)

Eula does not limit players to spend their money.
