Just some thread details for the latecomers:
- VoD goggles dropped for me.
- The other rogue in the party needed only those to complete his Tharne's set.
- I flipped 'em over. No trading, he's not a buddy of mine...no nada. They dropped for me and they were the last thing he needed to complete his set.
- We recall out, star switches over to someone else, and we both get booted.
- I send a couple of tells to the booter; zero response.
- Forum post.
- A little while later, responses happen, voice chat happens, apologies were made, case closed.
- As far as I'm concerned, the specifics be done. I've run with everyone in that group before, I'll run with everyone in that group again.
- Who they were isn't important; what guilds they were in isn't important...so stop asking/speculating.

I just want people to get over feeling "entitled" to other people's pulls. If you're running a raid and want specific rules (need before greed, general roll if you can't use it, whatever), then say so before the chest pops (at least), or in your lfm (better). Otherwise let people dispose of their pulls how they see fit: slip 'em to a buddy, need before greed, guild l00t is guild l00t, channel member l00t is channel member l00t, buy it, sell it, whatever.

Odd thing was, I've run with these peeps before. Seemed decent enough folk...oh well, we all have bad days/months/years.

No point in doing that; we all make mistakes. I'll contact the appropriate guildmasters and let 'em know what happened...if they're fine with that, well, those are guilds I'm not going to run with.

There are certain people who, while being of the firm belief that *their loot is their loot*, also erroneously expect your and my loot to be up for general roll if we don't want it for ourselves.

They haven't figured out that they can't have it both ways...or maybe they can if they form their own groups out of sheep.

Getting more PMs....again, this post isn't about singling out single players or single guilds. It's about not letting raid leaders browbeat you into giving them your raid l00t and asking all the people who have said in the past "your l00t is your l00t" to step up and prove they don't really mean "my l00t is my l00t and your l00t is my l00t".

I'll contact the appropriate guild leaders, and give them the details; they can handle things internally, I'm sure, as I've run with these guys before and they seemed pretty reasonable.

In the meantime, let's try to be marginally decent to one another.

Edit: I haven't been kicked from a group since I was level 1, three years ago, so I'm a little ... annoyed.

dude that was a good run but i understand why you gave them away and hey it is your loot you pulled it but a barb deserves the goggles before a rogue even if it completes his set im not saying that a rogue shouldnt have a chance to get the goggles but realy does the rogue mean more to completing a quest than the barb think about that the next time you give loot away the rogue has all the right in the world to get the goggles but when it comes out to the fact of what would be better the barb would be the choice 99% of the time and im not telling you how to use your raid loot im just saying that rogues arnt that important.......o and it was funny when he kicked you

I've sat (sitted? sit? sitted-ed?) in that quest before defending someone else who gave the barb (our intimitank) the goggles instead of the rogue that wanted them. My exact words were "Any melee would want those goggles." And because, well, that person who gave the barb the goggles, instead of the rogue? It's his l00t.

This ain't a rogue vs barb thang...lord knows there are at least two threads on that already. This is a "your l00t is your l00t" thing.

If your going by importance addition why dont ya give all the raid loot to the clerics, beings you would never complet without them. BTW rogues rock the DPS as well as any class in the game so I am sure the rogue (in your raid) had a hand in the completion Booting people over a simple disagreement is childish and the fact that you think it was funny that the OP did get booted makes me assume you are still living in you moms garage. Rogues are *NOT* Useless. Useless rogues fall upon the player, just as mana-sponge useless barbs fall upon the player.

Brenna is probably one, if not THE EXPERT on Rogues in all 5 Servers. If he decided to give it to the rogue, not only did it complete the set, but he decided that rogue actually was competent enough to use the goggles as effectively or more than ye average barb.

Endpoint: It was his loot to assign. Get over your barbs.
