An Alliance has been formed amongst the guilds:

The Alliance was originally created to allow players to remain in their own smaller guilds, yet enable them to take advantage of the benefits that are found when one is a member of a larger community.

Guilds that are friends with any of the above guilds should look into joining the Alliance, and becoming a brother/sister-guild.

I love this alliance! What a great way to find like-minded players when forming a gorup or raid. Thanks for making this happen, it makes LFG so much better!

the alliance channel...LFM pt 2.

It's basically two things:
1. A shared chat channel that provides an extra resource to fill out a party.
2. A way to shoot the breeze during downtime with like-minded folks, outside the general channel.
... the channel is like a radio station.

there are many of us who came from small guilds that folded or just did not have enough players ...we at least could get some more groups going.

The Thieves Guild
...if someone in the guild is not available or out of your range to help, please make use of this channel!...we make an attempt to help any of their members when we can and also if they ask us for help namely: items, advice, quest knowledge that we try to take time out to help them.
That' s why it is there, and many of us try to maintain and use the channel to eep it going.

I still use this and chat with others, or jump in when they are doing something i am interested in. The Alliance is as good as people make it. The more in it the better.

An alliance of guilds (myself for adult players only) is a great Idea.

I know we have had talks recently about an alliance with Eberron Dwarf Tossing League, but perhaps getting in on this larger alliance would be more beneficial instead. Ive played with members of EDTL and Darkside before, however I dont think ive played with The Swamp Foxes. I know the rest of us have similar outlooks/playstyles/exc though so I am sure they do as well.

Ill discuss it amongst my brethren, and if both sides come to agreement perhaps we will join you in this alliance. Send me a PM or a tell in game if you would like discuss this more

Hello everyone! It's Tam leader for EDTL! So far I truly believe that this alliance is a good thing. I know the Berry Goddess Inn guild is rather small with only 7 players and most don't get on much anymore so this alliance benefits them a great deal.
We would love for the Silver Dragons to join us. Every time I quest with a members of OotSD it is always a pleasant and fun experience.

The real life application is the players become closer, and know each other's playstyles thereby making stronger in-game teams.

It seems one of the Alliance guilds has blacklisted Aces Over Kings members from their groups.

Does this mean that all the Alliance have blacklisted Aces Over Kings from all raids and groups as well? Just a question

Interesting issue. I love a little drama like anyone else, but no.

Each guild acts on its own as far as policies go, so what one guild does is not the same for other guilds.

As far as Darkside is concerned we have no policies, issues or drama.

The Alliance allows for smaller guilds to retain their individual identity as a guild while still being able to experience a larger guild experience via a chat window linking a larger network of players getting to know one another and succesfully completing quests.

Darkside is a drama-free guild which does not get into with the politics and issues that sometimes plague mmo's. Darkside was also built on the concept of "play and let play", meaning, play your guy the way you want to play them, and do not dictate to others how to play.

I would be interested to hear the details of your situation however.

Ah so you just share a channel together but you can only join if your Guild leader agrees that the whole guild is part of the Alliance. Sorry i assumed that as an alliance there would be some reason to unite together in defense of or opposed to something.
