    Default dndclient has stopped working

I get this error randomly, there is no rhyme or reason to it and I don't even know where to look to give any kind of error code or Dump

    my computer spec
    Vista x64 Home Premium SP1
    AMD Phenom 9950 BE
    4gig 800Mhz DDR2 Ram
    GeForce 260GTX 216 896MB Ram with nVidia drivers 182.08

that's all the information I have and it's very frustrating

oh the crashes are happening in the white dragon quest and her surrounding explorer area, the problem seems to happen while I am in a group, I was playing for hours earlier today solo and it never crashed once.

edit: I'm running AVG Free and have no software firewall

I have UAC completely off, and I changed it so all of my user names (only have 1) have Full Access so there shouldn't be any kind of permission errors. Tried to run it as an administrator, tried to run it in SP2 compat mode as an admin, it's still happening.

    any ideas?

One of my guildies kept having random crashing issues a while back, and he fixed them(so to speak) by totally disabling his computer sound capablility.

I wouldn't really expect this to be your problem, since he was running on a fairly old and obsolete system, but thought I'd throw it out there as an example of "weird ****".

looks like i might have solved the issue

somehow my RAM got overclocked to 1,222Ghz when they are infact 800Mhz sticks

clocked it back down to 800Mhz and my computer is even running way more stable

The specific method is going to vary from motherboard to motherboard.

Do you know how to access the bios on your computer? Generally, it will be a function key or something along those lines that you press while the computer is going thru the boot sequence.

F2, F8 are some of the more popular ones... You'll need to consult your computer documentation to find out exactly which one.

If you've never messed with your bios before, I'd recommend not changing anything without being very sure of what you are attempting to do. You can create a very large paperweight very quickly if you mess things up too badly.
