ddo needs adminstrative privliges but won't run cause of it...

well i download it i get pretty far in the download and it asks me to administrative privliges and i have to accept or it won't rrun the download but if i accept it says it can't use administrative privliges it cannot run with it

i use vista and i downloaded it off the internet right here on this website...

also i have the disc but it won't reconize it on my computer. it is the same one as above...

i try to download it by putting it in my ocmputer and it doesn't show anything up i go into my computer and try to boot it up and it opens my disc drive and says please insert a disc.
i have been told that this does work on vista but i can't get it to work and this is the only thing that i can think of that is blockeing it

i been playing on a crappy computer witch has the worst lag ever and i need to be able to play on the otehr computer so plz help me!!!

Not sure if this would help. I had similar administrative issues after a new hard drive was installed on my computer.

The computer was set to run in raid format, with another hard drive. Installers use second drives to download a new drive on occasion and forget to set the system back to running with one drive. With Tech support I changed my bios out of raid and was able to download.

If you're using Vista, long but easy fix...

Create a new account on your computer..do no give that account admin priviledges...you have to download it and run it from that account. It sux, but it works.

Make sure you aren't logged onto the administrator account - a lot of software will not run.

However, any account you create must have any administrator privileges you can give it.... creator/owner etc

Confusing but I had this problem installing from dvd to vista32 computer, and then again running the game.

ok that worked but i ran into another problem i get a error saying

"no suitable graphics device was found. are you running through a remot session or a VM? if no, please check your video hardware capabilities"

i know this computer has better then needed graphics

my computer meets the minimum requirments and i have played other big games like WoW with no problems at all

also i have the updated video card drivers

Sometimes with Vista you have to rerun the Windows Experience to get a better score: Control Panel - Performance Information and Tools - Update my score. I had to run it in order for my video to work properly.

It's weird because we all know the hardware capabilities are there but without rerunning that program it's like Vista doesn't bother to recognize it.

Bypass Internet Exploiter and use Firefox to download it.

If your downloading via IE 7 the default location is in your documents. Save it to your desktop or bypass Internet Exploiter and use Firefox to download it.

all it says in my documents is user preferences it doesn't have the game or anything in there

What graphics card are you using? Good luck bro, time for me to head off to the grind. I have it installed on a laptop with pretty crappy onboard graphics. You might also want to try and uninstall your graphics drivers, reinstall them, try again - if it still doesn't work then try uninstalling the hardware then reinstalling the hardware.

can anyone else come up with a different awnser i have tryed that multible times this computer is more then good enough to play this game
