Alignment Change

This is not a flame so don't perceive it that way.

I collected a set of tomes, +1's to create my Bard build. It's a multiclass build so started off with rogue. After quaffing the tomes I realized to my disgust that I neglected to fix the alignment to Chaotic Good. Since there is currently no option prompting an alignment warning upon creation so this type of error is not made I am just screwed out of 4 tomes. A day or 2 of farming will replace my tomes but there should be an in game option to eleviate this or a separate prompt upon creation bringing attention to the alignment so that it may be selected correctly. I knew of the requirement, I just overlooked it.

This is the kind of stuff that builds frustration and should be an easy fix.

There was an alignment bug a while ago (although never proven) but I have not heard of it popping up in a while.

I don't think there is a need for this.

Alignment change is something that's possible in D&D rules and is really important, IMO.

Alignment is an extremely hard-to-find box in character creation, and nothing is said at the time you make a toon about the centrality of alignment in-game. Many a new player gets screwed over like the OP. Especially as the default is LG, which is probably the worst possible alignment to be (unless your build requires it) as you take more alignment-based damage than any other alignment, and also are restricted from using Anarchic and True Chaos weapons (both of which are more useful, at least at endgame, than Axiomatic/True Law).
