CONGRATS ALL! We Did It! Turbine Voted Dev of the Year for the 2nd Straight Year!
OK, another thread has got me thinking here.... Over the past several months, many of the gaming sites have picked up intrest in DDO again. THis is great, However, it still seems to be on the backburner in terms of Features, Reviews, and Headlines.
I'd love to see this thread stickied, but if not, I ask that we keep it active. If there are any sites that you visit that have a DDO section, or SHOULD have a ddo Section, Post em here and I'l add it to the OP. Bookmark the thread... Take 5 minutes out of your day to hit the Links in the OP. I dont think this is a lot to ask. ANd this is probobly the Number one way we can help TUrbine and Help this Fantastic game. THe More exposure, the more subscriptions, the more developement. Dont forget to hit an add or 2 as well... Often the click through count for much more than just hitting the site itself. The Adds pay the bills!
Often people think these sites are financed by the gaming companies themselves... That they are buying feature articles..
THATS NOT THE WAY IT WORKS.
Of course, I'm sure there are some unscroupulous sites out there that are more than happy to take some money under the table.... Something tells me Turbine isnt a company thats gonna be bribing folks though. Activity Rules. If a MMO Site sees that they are getting ust a handful of hits a day on a topic, they dont pay it much attention. but if it starts getting a lot of hits, they will start providing more and more info and articles on that game... HITS Pay the bills for these sites!
Thank you for your continued support on this folks.
We CAN help here.....
THe Following are Sites that I would ask that you Hit [U]Every Day[/I] Go ahead and bookmark this thread. You dont necessarily need to sign up for an account at these sites, Usualy, just browing through the DDO Offerices counts regardless of whether or not your logged in. However, Creating an account and posting a message, Review or comment on the game is much beter for us!
MMORPG.com
mmorpg has done some wonderful write-ups over the past few months, they have a solid DDO area of their site, but their Review is from Launch still!
Lets show mmorpg that DDO is a Viable product to brng Hits to their site! THis is key to getting more coverage and thus, more new subscriptions.

Just recently, MMORPG did a "Re-Review" of DDO.
http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/g.../loadReview/72
Thanks to US, the reviewer was quickly revealed to be someone who had never played the game before this "Re-Review". The Managing editor of mmorpg jumped into the discussion and apologized and has promised a REAL re-review coming soon. Excellent job folks!

Lets see if we can get DDO Back into their Top 10 most active list. They track Unique Hits so Slamming it from the same PC wont do any good. We need a Community effort here. Hit it right now after reading this post, Just browse and see what they have on our fine game.
MMORPG Ratings at launch of Campaign. Not in Top 10, User game ratting of 7.55
RPGRANK:
RPGRank is a Rating site for RPG's. CUrrently DDO Sits a 53. THis has never been a strong site for DDO, but the fact that we are just outside the top 50 is Impressive.
http://www.rpgrank.com/online-rpg-games-110.html
THeir DDO Forum is Comletely Empty right now too. ANd forum activity helps the ranking.
http://forum.rpgrank.com/forum-41-1.html
RPGRank DDO Rank at Start of Campaign: 53
I think with very little effort we can move DDO into the TOp 10 on this pretty popular site.
Massivley.com:
Of course we cant forget our Friends at Massively. Excellent COverage for our game, but finding the DDO part of their site is rather Painful at the moment... WHen you click their "GAMES" Tab, it seems to provide the curent Top 10... SECOND LIFE Is inthis list.. Are you Kidding me? DDO Isnt as Popular as SECOND LIFE? Gimme a break. Lets Change that!

DDO Currently not listed in Masivly Top 10
ONRPG:
Currently Very Little DDO, Or turbine at all for that matter, Exposure on this good looking site.

WarCry:
Warcry is a very popular MMO Site, DDO Is indeed linked from their home page, but again, as is the case with many sites, DDO is rarely featured and talked about.

IGN:
ign is HUGE. So huge that it snot likely anything we could do would mean much to them. However, Most of us probobly already have an account and the User reviews of this game on this site are VERY OLD. No reason we cant start adding our own reviews to help people who stumble upon DDO VIA IGN. the User Rating is very bad right now... Take a few minutes and write a review... Let people know that the game has evolved greatly since launch!

User Rating at IGN at Start of Campaign: 6.3
I shouldnt have to ask this, but I wil just in case....
PLEASE be respectful on these sites THis is a campaign to help get DDO back into Premier status.
We can do this.
Thanks for your Time,
Impaqt
(I'll probobly look at the various sites a couple times a week or so and post a similar message to this for each one. If anyone else would liek to assist me inthis, that would be great. ALl I'm asking for is someone to visit the various gaming sites, Link the DDO Specific Page, and provide a Contact link so we can say, Hey, we love this game and would like you to give it another shot". PM Me if you wish to help.)
EDIT: I have expanded this section to incluse many gaming sites that need our help to push DDO into a Featured Posistion.
Other Rewiews and Review Sites to take a look at:
Game Daily
http://www.gamedaily.com/games/dunge...ame-main/list/
Found this nice review today. Looks like GameDaily is associated with AOL by the links and advertising. No User reviews listed...
Gamespot
