Hah - worse still - I've just stepped into a quest out here and it's just Goodblades reskinned - how lame can it get? Break the game and force everyone to rerun reskinned content (much like the monastery is reskinned Titan/POP I guess).

DDO is a bit like a pokie machine - you keep coming back even though you know it's boring and sucks time away from more fruitful endeavours. And it seems that all the "new content" is thinly disguised grind anyway. Last two mods are all about flag and grind - a sign that all future mods will be the same?

Maybe Turbine breaking my lowbie wasn't such a bad thing.

You know the irony of this is Turbine has all the power to solve problems but doesnt. Thought I would point out how we are supposed to solve problems ourselves but they get a free pass.

Actually Turbine mentioned their knowledge of the problem and said to stay off of Korthos Island with your alts created before the new MOD came in and they would work to resolve the issue. As for still being bound at the wavecrest seems to be your bad luck, not Turbines. Run the quests it takes all of 45 min at most if your dragging.

I have to really wonder how so many bugs were missed in QA this time around... This has to be the buggiest mod in DDO's storied history. The newbie island alone is a quagmire, and I would not be surprised if more new players are driven off by the bugs than stick around to continue with the game. It's a custerfluck.

But in any event, back to the subject at hand.
OP - just complete the Wavecrest quest. Same thing happened to me yesterday, but after 15 min - I had taken down the three flagging quests and the Wavecrest. After that I could group freely again.

It's annoying, and needed to be fixed yesterday - but it's nothing to take your ball and go home over. Unless you were on the verge of leaving anyways, and just needed an excuse. In which case, nothing we can say would matter & happy trails.

If you end up not being able to group outside of Korthos going to the Harbor should fix the problem.

But what if the Ship Captain won't speak to you, as so many people are finding?
I had zero option to go to the Harbor until I had completed the Wavecrest. Captain would not speak to me, and the first mate would not send me packing. During that time I was unable to group with anyone, due to the "not on the same goal" bug. Yes, being able to go to the Harbor fixes the part of the problem - but getting to the Harbor is the other part of the problem.

It's broken, Phax. And many, many, many people are having problems with it.

I just read the AP report that they caught the guy holding a gun to your head forcing you to play DDO. My heart goes out to you and your family for your trials and tribulations through this very difficult time. Thank god you can move onto to other "fruitful" endeavors now.

Nah. You know that after every mod everyone says this is the buggiest ever. When a raid you produced in a prior mod essentially still does not work, that is a problem.

Talk about overblown... its in the known bugs.. just run the quests on one char and your account will be fine in the future.

The problems with Korthos Island are NOT overblown.

1. Rolled up a new Pally last night to run with my friend who had not done Korthos yet. And yet the ENTIRE time I got a message saying I could not join or start a group until I found a way off the beach. Finished the solo stuff, finished all the quests on the island, finished all the quests in explorer except Misery's Peak. After wanting to run with my friend all night, I finally ran out of time and had to go to bed after soloing the entire night trying to figure out when I could group with him. Is this new or was I bugged??? Are we not allowed to group with anyone AT ALL on Korthos any more?

2. Half the time I finished the quest and tried to finish out, it would not let me. I would go to a Korthos Island loading screen, no blue bar appeared and suddenly I was back inside the quest. No teleport error, no error at all, just back in the quest. I had to run to the door each time.

I do not complain on the forums. I hardly ever even post on the forums, but last night is the most frustration I've ever experienced that was directly related to something Turbine had done.
