    Default Looking for Adventure

I'm not trying to start a flame thread here just pointing out the difficulty in trying to enjoy a quest for the 1st time with out other party members running ahead and solving the quests. I'm playing a lvl6 ranger and running out of quests I can run solo so I'm joining partys to play tougher quests. But there is no adventure left at this point beacause it seems everyone has done all these quests 100 times and runs through them so fast I bareley get a chance to see whats going on.

It shure would be nice to find a guild of shquishy NooBs like me who have no idea what lies behind the hidden door.

If you decide to try permadeath, make sure you let the party know you are new to the game and would like to take point. Tell them strict no spoilers. Adventure FTW!

IMO this is a serious issue with the game and it is one of the few that I have no idea about when it comes to offering a solution*.

I'd say "join a guild" only most guilds are full of the people you describe. Best I can suggest is to start your own groups and to note in your LFM "no spoilers" or "new players only" or something very similar.

Edit: *Actually I do have a suggestion but the chances of Turbine adopting it is less than the probability that a meteor will land in my yard.

THe trick I used to use when I was new....the LFM.

If you put up a looking for members, add some text like 'I am a new player and would like new players'...etc

When someone joins you tell them that you want someone who has not done the quest or who will be quiet and let rest of party explore.

You will find many people enjoy being part of 'newbie' groups and watching the excitement.

You have to be polite yet firm in letting them understand what you want. If you do not, then there will always be one who just runs and finishes the quest.

Even at higher level there will be lots of people who will join you for the new player experience and let you enjoy.

Good luck and enjoy....one day thou shalt be a zerger too..

Put up appropriate LFMs, try to form a static group if you can commit to one... or even create a brand new "temporary" guild with like-minded players.
You're not alone in this, but you need to actively look for other players who want to take it slow if this is what you enjoy.

Yes this is awesome. Ran the new kobold quest a few days ago with a guy that didnt want spoilers. Watching an entire party plummet into spike traps is amazingly fun.

If you put up an lfm just be firm in letting everyone know about your intentions. Likely you will find other people that feel the same way as you and might even lead to finding people to run with on a more regular basis.

A good guild can be helpful, whether you start it or stumble into one. I've got alts in a couple dif guilds. Alot of the guilds out there are full of a player mix, with some being part-time gamers (stumbling noobs), mass zergers, and people "just having fun". The trick is finding them, my one guild is mostly a group of us with a couple alts who are happy to run quests both ways, we can zerg with the best of them, or take everything slower than sin letting somebody in quest for the first time lead it out and offering tips when asked.

The main thing though is, as has been pointed out, you have to be straight and clear up front, either in your LFM or when you join a quest just ask, most groups are more than willing to be honest from the start and understand if you need to drop because of the style they are going to run.

EDIT- before anybody jumps on me.........my "just having fun" title is more a referance to what those types call themselves, it is in no way an attempt to claim zergers are just having fun as I know that is most often the reason they zerg....because that is the fun way to run it in their opinion which is completely valid.

I'm a new player also and have found this happen as well.
I played up to a level 3 rogue solo for first build...died way too much lol and only did few raids with a party or two that for eg:rushed at lightning speed in WW once on elite (I died on that and had to be rescued due to lack of knowlege of "behind that door") and saw nothing much of the maze of a dungeon it truly is. Still, I was grateful it opened up the marketplace
I made a Pally, got to level 4 before Mod 8, now started a new toon again due to wanting new weps, quests and new path builds included.
To avoid rushed raids (which might give me favor and open map quickly), I create groups for those who prefer to actually go through quests with new players, or the experienced ones who are kind enough to share their knowledge and expertise a little, taking it slower to see more and so I can fully understand/use the skills I have (for eg one player had to show me how to heal him near the end...had never had the opportunity to actively do that yet, and was floundering so much I healed myself in error needlessly lol. He was so nice about it and had a chuckle as finally got it right, think he even emote clapped hehe)
Also, I wrote a bio saying I was new, describing my lack of experience, what type of players I was wanting to play with etc and this has helped tremendously. Now when I get invited to a raid they know exactly what they are getting, and I have better assurance that is fine with them
    Hope this helps.

I want to second this. Our "explorer flavored" static group plays no-rush when we get together. (Of course, the rest of the time ...) We like to include folks with similar goals.

FWIW, Battle Ferrets, on Sarlona. Most Wednesdays from 8-10 PM Eastern.
