Can't buff Bull,Owl,Bear,Faith??

Hiya, for about 6 hours today I haven't been able to buff Bull's Strength, Owl's Wisdom, Bear's Endurance, or Shield of Faith, either by my own wand or by the house P & J buff NPCs. I can't get my head around why this would be, any ideas?

I tried buffing every single other spell by those two and they all work fine..

if your already wearing a +4 or better stat item in any of those spaces, the spell has no effect, and wont show up. Shield of faith wont appear if your wearing a protection item that provides a bonus equal to or higher then the spell.

Did you upgrade to +4 items? Ogre Power, Health...etc The spells only work up to the point of where as items supercede their bonuses.

Well heck that makes sense and lines up with my timeline as I just levelled to 9 tonight and scored some +4 items for strength, wisdom, and constitution..
